Anyone got any tips on doing fluff?

Anyone have any tips as to a good way to put paws on this thing? I have alot of trouble with paws for some reason, so some advice would be great ~
P.S.~ It's a canine I designed and yes, the proportions are supposed to be like that. (But of course I didn't add the paws 'n')
** Forgot to say to take about ten minutes or so off because I went over a really bad sketch to do this ;n;

Does anyone have any fluff/fur creation tips? I'm really struggling with making the fur look right..
