Hoard Discussion Thread v.5

I tend to avoid trading with hoard haters, mostly because I'm a rather 'live and let live' kind of person. Plus I'd rather not potentially start a conflict by them specifically looking to see if I hoard. I know for a fact a lot of people especially get peeved by list hoarding.

Me too. As soon as I read the "I don't support hoarding" rule in their trade rules, I usually end up not even bothering to look at their pets. I admit I used to not support list hoarding myself, but somebody (probably DaDwarf, honestly) brought up a very good point. They said something along the lines of, Why does anybody else deserve a pet more than you do? If that person can afford the pet, there's no reason why they shouldn't be allowed to have as many as they want. It's the same with collections really.

I still trade with these people, but usually I only pick out hoard pets. Just one though, because are they really going to go through all the groups of all the people you trade with just to make sure you aren't trading a pet someone hoards? Seems kinda ridiculous to me. If they do find out about that, then oh well. I haven't had anyone cancel a trade because of me hoarding that pet.

Little frustrated at the amount of hoard hate going on again suddenly. In a week, ive been told 6 times people dont support my hoard and its just.. Ugh, very very frustrating. Especially coming from people who hoard lower rarities, just disapointing e.e

At this point, I've gotten so frustrated that I've just added a trade "rule" that blatantly states I'm a rare's list hoarder, then asks anyone who doesn't like it to not trade me. I can respect a person for not wanting to trade a list hoarder (for whatever reason, really) just as long as they respect that I don't want to trade with them, either.

Edit: In other news, I've hit kind of a dilemma. I've sort of given up the dream of 20 BA's (at least for now) due to lack of fodder, but I'm sort of obsessed with the whole "20 pet hoard" idea. I've already picked out Black and White "BMD's" to go with my 10 BMD's, but now I have to pick out a pet to go with my BA's. The problem is that, I would also like for the pets to be kept separate (BA's on one half, other pet on the other.) However, unless I find a pet post-2015 that I like enough to add, it'll take a LOT of date-swapping (4+ BA's), which is already proving to be a pain. Do you guys think I should hold off and hope that a BA-resembling pet comes out in the future, or do you think it would be worth it to try and keep date-swapping?

If it helps, these are the pets I'm considering adding (that are all pre-2015...): really keen on these ones and these remind me of "baby" Black Advents, plus not only do they fit my creepy underworld theme, but they're also of the same species, which I also consider to be a plus (though I don't mind the cats, really.)

I just ignore the hate. The only one being hurt by it truly is the poor sad person doing the hating. I've sent hoard trades to "hoard haters before" can't say I've really had any rejected. Pretty much everybody has a price as an old school pro wrestler used to say. You wave a valuable pet in front of them even the haters will cough up multiples of one pet.

As for your BA complimenting pet, I'd go with the PPS. Those are adorable. ^_^

Found another person with the Ornament PPS in their trade group! Super hyped for it, because they're adorable ltitle guys. If this trade goes through, that'll bring my total up to 15 For my hoard. It's an unlimited hoard, but I'm wondering if I should just cut it off at 15, cause that's a nice and neat number.

It's a super neat number, you're right, but if you're really super in love with them then nobody could blame you for keeping it unlimited. cx

Thanks for the help! And yeah, I try to ignore it, too. The only problem is, I have had trades rejected. I've even been told not to bid in somebody's auction before (even though I offered the auto....) I try not to judge the person (they can believe what they want) but it's hard not to judge somebody who judges you. If anything, I'm just annoyed that it makes it a lot harder to trade for the pets I need, even simple date swaps, where I literally wouldn't be adding another hoard to my collection, I'd just be swapping it.

It's a super neat number, you're right, but if you're really super in love with them then nobody could blame you for keeping it unlimited. cx

QFT. There are just some pets that have the effect of 'oh my gosh I just want to hug ALL of them!' That seems to honestly happen at least once a month considering how awesome the artists are, haha

I was going to take a bit of a break from hoarding for a while -
but I kind of love these ...

and they are *sentimentally/emotionally* what I need right now ..
so I may do a small hoard.. 10/20
