Otterpaw's chest swelled with pride as Snowpaw spoke. "Well I don't about that, but yeah, I guess I did pretty good." Otterpaw grinned at Snowpaw as he flicked his tail happily. " yeah, but I never doubted that." Otterpaw joked in reply before looking down at the rabbit. "Come on, let's take our fresh kill back to camp and show everyone!"

snowpaw purred, "alright! let me go and get my squirrel. i might need help hauling it back to school." the young apprentice dipped her head in embarrassment. "i just hope those foxes haven't found it." she meowed hastily, flicking her tail. "see you in a few moments!" snowpaw turned around and began heading back in the direction she had left her squirrel under a bush, casting the tabby tom a quick glance.

Otterpaw grinned at Snowpaw. "I'll help if you need me, so it doesn't drag on the ground." Otterpaw replied remembering how big the squirrel was. Otterpaw's tail lowed when Snowpaw talked about foxes finding it. "we havn't been gone that long... though if you run into any trouble just yowl." Otterpaw called out not taking his eyes off of Snowpaw until she was out of sight. Otterpaw let out a worried breath hoping Snowpaw would be alright. He let out a soft grunt feeling the pain from his paw. It hurt even more now since he had ran on it. Pushing the pain aside he got a hold of the rabbit, trying to get as much of it as he could off the ground before padding towards camp, and Snowpaw.

snowpaw rolled her eyes as she padded away. speeding up, the black-and-white shecat bounded over a small log, her ears perking confidently. it was just behind that tree over there. she reminded herself, slowing down as the tree grew larger. her whiskers twitched as the strong smell of the prey seeped from under a large clump of bush, and she could smell a mouse too. the squirrel will he hard enough to handle, you can live another day. she reassured the mouse in her head, before diving under the bush, retrieving the squirrel, and beginning to haul it quickly back to the other apprentice.

Otterpaw looked up when he heard something coming closer. Otterpaw smiled in relief as he saw Snowpaw. "Good looks like you didn't have any trouble." Otterpaw mumbled through the rabbit's pelt. Otterpaw looked at Snowpaw happily, they had a good hunting day, better then he had in a long time. Otterpaw started to move towards camp again, still unable to keep all of the rabbit in the air. "This thing is heavy" Otterpaw grunted think he should switch to just dragging it back to camp.

snowpaw flicked her ear and thought for a moment. "here, you can take this. i'll take the rabbit and you take the squirrel." the young apprentice chirped, padding over to the tabby and dropping her kill. she reached out for the other half that was trailing on the ground and flicked her tail on otterpaw's flank reassuringly.

Otterpaw flicked his tail as he looked at Snowpaw, then at at squirrel then to the rabbit. He let out a sigh. "I could be wrong, but I don't see how you could be much better." Otterpaw mumbled under his breath as he let go of the rabbit. "You got it?" he asked before reaching over to the squirrel. Otterpaw gave Snowpaw a small smile before flicked his tail at her. "I glad we did this." Otterpaw mumbled through the squirrel. "It was fun."

snowpaw nodded, "me too. I can't wait to tell my mentor!" the young she-cat padded in silence for a few moments. "maybe it's be better if we didn't tell them if needed, mine might get mad at me if they known i've been out of camp." snowpaw meowed, her purr mumbled by the large rabbit.

Otterpaw looked over at Snowpaw as she spoke, listening carefully to what she had to say. "Whatever you want to do, but I'm sure Lionheart would be proud of you! I know I would be if I was your mentor!" Otterpaw purred in reply, as he bumped into Snowpaw playfully. Otterpaw laughed a little thinking about what he had said. "Even though I'm not your mentor, I'm sill proud of you!" Otterpaw added blushing slightly. "If you get into trouble, just blame it on me."

snowpaw purred loudly and padded closer to the tom, their pelts almost brushing, not just for herself, but incase the tom needed help with his paw. "thanks! I'm proud of you too." she meowed, casting the apprentice a quick glance before looking up at the leaves swirling above them. "and of course I'll blame it on you, what's you expect?" snowpaw added playfully, flicking her ear.
