She smiled and returned his lick."We? Warriors? Whait? When?"She asked confused trying to remember what she missed."Anyway good luck hunting!'' She said to him and happily walk over to Sorrelpaw."How it fells? To become an appretience. Amd I can't believe who your mentor is. I am sure you will do great and Fernstar will be pround!" She let out a pur came out of her mouth."Can we talk for a moment?"She said looking around and remembering the question that was on her mind since the gathering.

Fernstar raised her tail for silence and when she got it, she leaped back onto the highledge. "As the fox attack was just yesterday, we have a lot of damage to fix. Blueheart, could you lead a hunting patrol? While hunting could you also refresh the scent markers? We are running low on warriors currently. The cats who aren't going on the patrol I would like to help rebuild camp walls and dens. Lots of damage was caused. Threeleg and Goldenpaw may go out at any point today to recollect herbs, however I would like at least one warrior accompanying them just in case the rogue decides to attack." She mewed, looking across at the freshkill pile consisting only one sorrowful mouse. "The apprentices should make sure the elders get fed before sundown tonight. I would prefer if training for today was postponed until tomorrow so we can focus on hunting and rebuilding the camp." She mewed before flicking her tail. "That is all, meeting dismissed." Then she leaped down from the highledge to approach Blueheart. "Well done, I know you will do well." She purred before continuing. "I would like you to lead a hunting patrol, refresh markers and be alert at the same time though we are at a shortage of warriors. Take Sparrowpaw with you, but you can decide the rest." She then dipped her head to the new deputy before padding away to start rebuilding the camp.

Threeleg listened to Fernstar before looking down at Goldenpaw when she'd finished. "I'd like to set out straight away. We need to restock on every herb we can get while it's still light, so I would like to head off now." Then he looked over across at Foxstripe. "I'll go ask Foxstripe if she'll accompany us." He mewed before trotting across to the fæ. "Greetings Foxstripe, would you mind accompanying me and Goldenpaw to collect herbs?" He asked her, heart racing with every word.

Juniperfrost rose to her paws when Fernstar finished. "I'll go ask Sparrowpaw to bring you something extra plump back from the hunting patrol." She mewed, overhearing Fernstar's conversation with Blueheart. "I want to stay in camp so I can come to see you every now and then when I'm not working on the camp." She mewed, licking his cheek affectionately.

Sparrowpaw watched Berrypaw pad away and called after her. "Bye!" Before turning to Blueheart. "Who else is coming with us?" He asked his mentor, looking around at all the warriors. Then he heard a new voice and turned to see Threeleg asking Foxstripe to accompany them on a herb trip. He then returned his gaze to the temporary deputy after losing interest in Threeleg and Foxstripe's conversation.

Aquilo smiled at the ginger tabby. "Don't be upset if they reject you, they are in a tough situation at the moment. If you want a better chance at being accepted, I would give them a few days. Oh, and don't just walk into their camp, wait until you are found by a cat. But the more obvious, the better." He advised, waving his tail in a friendly manner.

Sorrelpaw purrs, her eyes glowing. "Thank you, Berrypaw!" She smiles. The poultice on her shoulder had become displaced, but the joy and excitement aurging through her pelt made her forget about her shoulder wound. "Sure, ask away." She sits, tilting her head. What does she want to ask me?

Her golden face turned a creamy pale. Someone would find out eventually, I guess sooner is better than later. She stands, flicking ber curled tail. "Follow me, lets collect some bindweed to help fix camp."

Once the pair is a considerable distance from the rest of camp, Sorrelpaw looks down at her paws. "I was born in a clan." She mumbles softly, her curled ears tilted back.

Blueheart looked at Sparrowpaw, "we should be fine if we are a group of four so two more cats, I was going to ask Foxstripe and tell her to bring Dustpaw but seems like she got another request" He replied before he looked at all the clan cats. "how about we bring Silentstream and Russepaw?" he suggested to the apprentice, letting him tell him if he agreed or disagreed.

Dustpaw over heard Bluehearts comment and looked at Foxstripe, he couldn't tell her to go with Blueheart instead but he wanted some more training, or more so he needed more training. The other apprentices in is age were way more skilled than he was. He stayed where he was to wait and see what Foxstripe was going to reply to Threeleg and go on about his day based on that.

Sorrelpaw had hoped Berrypaw would leave it at that, but of course the inquisative fae had to know more. She sighed, deep and shuddering, almost like a breathy sob. "Return." A slight paniced chuckle escapes from the golden apprentice. "There is nothing left to return to."

She squeezes her eyes shut, trying to block out the memories.

A pretty brown tabby stares at a camp, her face a painting of worry. Cats huddled under destroyed dens, barely half bushes. Her jaw drops at the devestation. The cats in hiding stared back with wide, terrified eyes. The tabby mews shakily. "What happened?"

A cream queen huddles over two kits, a golden and white tabby shecat and a mottled brown tom. She whispers, almost too soft to hear. "Swallowsong. Please. Run. For your own good, get away from Frigidclan." Desperation exhasts her mew as she pleads with her sister.

A shriek echos from the queen as a stone colored blue tom leaps out from the bushes at Swallowsong. The kits cower in fear, the other cats running, their screams peircing their sensative ears. Swallowsong falls, and the queen turns, covering her kits. She whispers to them, her mew quavering. "We need to get out." The kit's eyes shine at her. They trusted her to protect them. A tear slips from the queen's eye as she curls around them.

Sorrelpaw curls her claws into the leafy dirt, her eyes still shut. She turns the paw, then lifts it, uprooting a clover that was trapped between her claws. She opens her eyes, staring at the green sprig.

Fernstar returned to camp after retrieving several branches and bramble tendrils to rebuild camp. She dropped them by the entrance to camp and stepped out of a tangle of thorns that clung to her paw. She picked up a large branch, stumbling at its weight, and began to thread it through what was left of the nursery wall. She focused on the same spot, weaving twigs and brambles through gaps in the nursery. As she picked up a large bramble stem and gasped as a thorn jabbed her shoulder, causing a small scratch. She licked it quickly before continuing her work.

Juniperfrost looked at Bramblewhisker with wide eyes. "I've got an idea! I'll reinforce the medicine den! That way I can talk to you while I work!" Then she dashed out of camp quickly, collected as many strong materials as she could before returning to camp, tripping over the brambles several times. She started to weave them through the den wall, smiling at Bramblewhisker and accidentally stepping on a thorn. "Ouch!" She leaped back, fur bristling. The thorn was stuck in her pad, causing blood to stain her white fur. She flattened her ears and licked it, wincing at the sharp pain.

Sparrowpaw thought for a moment before nodding. "Could we take Dustpaw too? I want him to come." He asked Blueheart, his eyes pleading. He knew how the tom was getting behind in his training, and he wanted that to stop. If he came on this patrol, he could amp up his game and learn new hunting skills!
