Otterpaw's eyes lit up at Snowpaw's word, and his grin widened. He felt his chest swell up with pride. Seeing Snowpaw's tail, Otterpaw swiped it away playfully. "You got that right! Maybe we can train together one day, and I can show you a few things." Otterpaw replied flicking his tail happily, trying to keep his voice low. Otterpaw scented the air, wondering if any prey was around.

snowpaw stuck out her tongue when the apprentices shot out a paw at her tail. "i'd teach you more things than you have even learnt, and i've only been apprenticed a moon. that shows me your more kit than i am." the young shecat meowed, flicking otterpaw's flank again to annoy him. "there's rustling ahead in the bushes, and i think the patrol has wandered the other direction." her ears pricked at the sound. "stay back, and i'll show you how the master does it!"

Otterpaw narrowed his eyes at Snowpaw, and made a sort of mocking noise. "Oh please, you haven't seen anything 'kit'." Otterpaw replied before following Snowpaw as she went towards noise. "Not a chance! That prey is mine!" Otterpaw whispered to Snowpaw before racing past her. He wanted to try and impress her, but he made the mistake of not watching where he was going. Otterpaw soon tripped, rolling forward and making a lot of noise. Otterpaw let out a painful grunt, feeling pain in his front right paw. "Oh great.... Way to show off your skills." Otterpaw thought, knowing he most likely scared off the prey.

snowpaw giggled as the tom fell. she bounded over to him and landed on him, "i'm sure i'll learn a lot from you, otterstar." she mocked, batting his stomach with her paw. "the foxes have probably ran away from all the commotion your making rather that your hissing and spitting." she jumped off the apprentice and waved her tail. "guess we'll have to go further in the woods, since there won't be any here anymore." the young shecat rolled her eyes and craned her neck to look at otterpaw's foot. "are you okay, though?"

Blossom's yellow eyes suddenly wided a bit when he was reminded about Bella's absence because of the molly's question. He gave his head a quick shake before lifting his nose slightly to sniff at the air. Luckily his companion's scent trail was still fresh and nearby so it didn't take him more than a few heartbeats to pick up. The loner flicked his tail to beckon for her to follow before he bound off towards where Bella had gone off to.

gingerstep watched as the tom's eyes widened, wondering who he could possibly be living with. but as he gestured for her to follow, she realized she was about to find out. the calico tabby followed after him swiftly and with agility. she had no idea if she should have even followed this tom in the first place. but her paws had a mind of their own apparently. she kept her green gaze ahead, trailing behind the tom closely.

Otterpaw got his breath knocked out of him when Snowpaw unexpectedly landed on him. His ears twitched hearing the name "Otterstar", He normally would have liked hearing that, but right now he didn't. Otterpaw started to sit up, rolling his eyes at what Snowpaw was saying. "Yeah, I'm sure it will be fine soon enough. I've gotten hurt a lot worse then this before." Otterpaw grunted in reply as he moved his paw around. "I might be limping for bit though." Otterpaw got up testing his paw by putting weight on it. "Sorry for scaring the prey away..." Otterpaw added softly. "Well, I guess I will give you a head start and let you catch the next prey we come across." Otterpaw joked trying to lighten the mood(most his) a little. Otterpaw flicked Snowpaw with his tail. "Ready?"

snowpaw hissed playfully and waved her tail, "i don't need a head start, you'd need one with that twisted paw." the young shecat pretended to limp with her paw outstretched. "what if we find a rogue, then what will we do? will you be able to hiss and spit like a lionclan cat then? since your paw will hurt so much." the apprentice grinned and flicked her ear, before shooting out her paw to bat at the tom.

"Yeah right, I will catch up once it starts feeling better." Otterpaw replied, narrowing his eyes at Snowpaw as she limped. "Haha very funny." Otterpaw added before lifting his head higher. "You don't have to worry about it any mouse brained rogue. They wouldn't dare come into our territory, and if they did, I would still be able to hiss at them. I can still take out a rogue, even with my paw being hurt." Otterpaw grinned before limped forward and pawing at Snowpaw. "See it's not that bad, I can still use it." Otterpaw meowed proudly, even though it still hurt a little he tried not letting it show.

snowpaw widened her eyes, "no! i'll stay here with you, i don't want to go on ahead anyways." the shecat smiled sheepishly, before snapping her gaze to the bushes ahead of them. the fluffy tail of a squirrel was twitching in the bracken, "looks like you didn't scare off all the prey." she whispered, before the squirrel stood up and looked at the two cats, but snowpaw darted after it.
