Rowanflame yowled in surprise and fear. She braced herself to fight then decided against it. She pelted off into the forest with the badger hot on her tail. She finally managed to put some distance between herself and the badger but she tripped over a root badly straining her back left leg. She hissed in pain and picked herself back up to face the badger. She hissed and prepared to fight.

"I saw a badger nearby our territory." *He warned her as he finally caught his breath*

Silverstar forced herself to stay calm. She couldn't allow herself to show any fear or worry and upset the rest of the clan. "Where did you see it?"

Shadowsong had been sitting near Silverstar when she had been told about a badger that was nearby. Curiously and ready to help she padded over to where Silverstar stood.

Rowanflame gasped for breath from running so far. She took a step forward and winced in pain. The badger lunged. She gasped in horror as the huge creature dug it's claws into her side. She bit down on it's flank instead of yowling in pain. She kicked out with her good leg feeling her claws rake it's side. It screeched but still clung on to her side.

Russetpaw looked up from where the squirrel he was hunting had been. He heard a loud yowl followed by a terrible screeching sound in the close distance. He glanced at Dawnlight with fear, worry, and excitement in his eyes all at the same time. Without waiting for his mentor's approval he bolted towards the sounds wanting to put his skills to use by helping a clanmate in need.

"It was behind the elders den." *He attempted to calm himself, but failed. He felt his heart racing inside his chest. It seemed like the badger had spotted him*

"Let's go then. We need to get it out of our territory and away from our camp." She quickly scanned the camp. "I'll need you, Shadowsong and anyone else we can find." Without waiting for an answer she turned and ran towards the elder's den.

Shadowsong heard what her leader said and raced after her ready to do what she can to help. She knew she wasn't the best at fighting but she wasn't going to let that stop her from protecting her clan.

Rowanflame||Warrior||Open||Tags:
Rowanflame managed to get the badger off of her. She limped as far away as she could get before the badger attacked her again. She didn't know what to do. She couldn't lead it towards the camp but she knew she won't be able to win against it alone. She was already losing, she realised with a new shock of fear. She turned around shakily. The badger was charging at her again. She braced herself as well as she could.

Russetpaw rushed towards the sounds. He didn't dare look back to see if Dawnlight was following him. Mostly because he was scared she wouldn't approve of him rushing into battle like this. What choice did he have. He would never forgive himself if a warrior got hurt when he could have possibly prevented it. Russetpaw gasped when he saw what was happening. He recognized the she-cat right away. It was Rowanflame. She was facing a large badger who seemed ready to leap at her with claws out. As he got closer he saw that Rowanflame was bleeding heavily from her side. She definitely can't hold out on her own. Russetpaw didn't wait for Dawnlight. He charged towards the fight ready to defend his clanmate.
