Scarred for Life (Open and Accepting)

Andrew smiled at her, waiting patiently for what she was going to write. He kept twiddling with his thumbs. He wanted to tell her that he liked her, but then she might find him weird. He kept quiet.

Chii blinked, pressing the pencil lightly against the paper. She began to write down a sentence, finishing quickly. As she put the pencil down, she examined the paper. It was wrote down in fine writing, saying, Chii and Andrew.

Andrew's smile broadened. "What's that supposed to mean?" He asked. looking at her curiously a smile still on his face.

Chii blinked, then looked up at Andrew. She shrugged. The girl only meant it as the two friends. He was her first friend since... She couldn't even remember. Chii wrote down beneath their names, friends, in her beautiful and fine writing.

Andrew smiled. Slighlty disappointed that he had no idea if she was actually into him. He laughed. "Ah. Good." He said.

Chii giggled lightly, putting the paper back down. She didn't want to write friends. But she didn't want to make it all... Awkward. After all, the two just met. It'd seem... Weird. Chii shrugged it off, glancing around the room.

Andrew's smile disappeared and he walked over to his bed sitting down on it. Maybe she's not into dating. He thought picturing a perfect date. One where she might talk. But in the daydream he could see her lips move but no sound came out. He frowned a little.

Chii watched Andrew move over to the bed, then stared down. Chii didn't even remember her own voice. She hated the fact that she couldn't even admit she had never heard her own voice! It made her furious. But Chii didn't show it. She simply kept her face straight, glancing back at Andrew then back down at her feet.

Andrew looked at Chii. The awkward wave flooding him. "So.." He said trying to keep a less awkward conversation going. He wanted to see her smile again. It was beautiful. But he wasn't sure how to.

Chii stood, striding over to him beside the bed. She smiled warmly up at him, a bit shorter than Andrew. Chii was a petite young lady, but she never really noticed.
