Is it possible for vampires and humans to coexist together without there being any hostility?

Is it possible for both races to work together? To be friends or to fall in love?

Welcome to the City of Ashes! Named after the collapse of a kingdom that burned down here over 100 years ago. The year is 2070 and you are a new resident that just moved to the big City of Ashes, looking for a place to start over your life. Both Vampires and Humans live here together, and so far from what you have been hearing, all has been well. In this city humans are known as the "Day" walkers and vampires are the "Night" crawlers.

For the past 50 years vampires have changed there diet to Animals only. Though this is very hard to get used to at first, it is needed for them to coexist. If a vampire is to go "Rabid" he will be captured by the "Saints of Ash", a group of people with higher authority, also know as Hunters. They are feared by the vampires and are blessed by the humans, though no one knows what happens to the Rapid vampires.

Will you learn to coexist with the opposite race, or will you choose to stick to the old ways of things?

Personality-
Tourette is one to worry. Despite how he looks and what he is, he is not aggressive or laid back. You are more likely to get injured by a bush than by him- he only resorts to violence when it comes to 'eating'. Other than that, Tourette will do whatever it takes to hide his... 'features'. As a person, he can be very kind and is good-humored. That is if you can get him to stop pacing and muttering, and actually speak to you. That doesn't mean he's weak- he wont retaliate right away, but give him some time to think something up and you're dead. Meaning he's very devious...
History-
He was a very rich kid- he had anything he ever wanted until he became a teenager. He was still rich, but his parents and family neglected him horribly. Eventually, he had to leave or he would probably starve to death. Tourette never completed school all the way through, but is still witty. As of now, he wanders from town to town, and lives through decade through decade. For this lifetime, he's settled in the City Of Ashes.
