Hi! I just found this thread. I just wanted to share that I'm really into Dark Souls 3 right now on Xbox One, as well as never really stopping my addiction for World of Warcraft. Does anyone else play these games? I'd love to talk strategies and story/lore!

I recently had this weird idea for a fanfic set in a world where video games are fighting console wars with each other, and their success depends on how many copies they sell in the real world. The story is set in the sixth generation, where a PlayStation 2 game, while selling well, is shunned by her peers for being "incomplete". She escapes and comes across Nintendo's army, where she tries to become a GameCube game. She's worried she'll be mistaken for an impostor, when she's really just trying to find a place where game-people will accept her.

...But... I don't know how to write this without sounding biased, because for starters, I haven't played many non-Nintendo games. As for what game "she" is? That would be telling...

I'm personally enjoying my PS4, I just finished the Final Fantasy XV Demo. It's amazing, no, amazing is an insult, there are just no words to describe that demo. Also, am I the only one who is dying to get their hands on a copy of Mortal Kombat X?? I really, really want to play as Jason Voorhees, like really bad. I'm getting bored though, I've beaten all the games I have for PS4 (Minus Tomb Raider I REALLY don't like that game) plus, Star Wars Battlefront is just really repetitive. I really wish it was more like Star Wars Battlefront II. Where you have actual missions, you can look at your characters face, drive AT-AT's and AT-ST's on Hoth...That's what I want. *sigh* But I know EA won't give us that much .-. Does anyone here play the Sims Freeplay?? If so can someone give me some advice on making moolah on there? I'm running out of ideas D-:

Ironically I just found this thread too! :'D I myself just recently got Dark Souls and oh lordy am I in deep... I The lore is amazing ;; Its also fun making characters... my main right now is Roan (like my user bc im such a nerd lol) and I may or may not have created two more >u>;;

As for Strategies... I'm horrible right now so I don't think I'll be of much help :'3

Yeah same. I've made a few characters but haven't beaten the game yet. Seriously I just love making different characters to see different builds and such. And I agree the lore is so amazing. Is DS3 your first Dark Souls or have you played the others as well?

A gamer's worse fear. I worry that the save file is going to be reset, or corrupted.

I could only afford one of them so I got DS3. Its really fun but infuriating at the same time lol

Okay, little tiny rant;

I've been playing violent FPS games since august of 2014; mainly CoD, Halo, Cs:Go, etc;

my grandmother(who's my legal guardian and even BUYS THESE GAMES FOR ME) knows I play these all the time (in fact, they're really the only games I play) and she knows I've been obsessed with them and such; yet she recently made a comment to me about them?;
"Lex, don't you think these games are for older people? these seem way too violent for you and you really aren't supposed to play them.";
now, I'm not 17+ yet, as the game rating states you should be in order to play them (no one really follows that, heck, my cousin is still in elementary and she plays GTAV with me!! lol)
i am in highschool though so that can kind of get cleared away.

what I really don't understand is
1) why are you NOW making a comment to me about this?? why not 2 years ago when I STARTED PLAYING THESE GAMES?? Like ????? kinda too late!!
2) Why are you buying them for me if you don't want me to play them?? like literally she just spent like $200 buying me Destiny's TTK DLC and the Digital Deluxe version of Call of Duty Advanced Warfare!!
3) she kind of has no right to talk to me about this because she literally said I could do WHATEVER I FELT LIKE on my xbox ?!?!? like she got me some giftcards for GameStop and the Xbox Store last year and she said "Buy what you like, I don't care. As long as you have fun!!"

4) Why should she care? I mean, I know better than to go out and kill a bunch of people because it's "fun" or "entertaining"; like c'mon, people are blaming video games on gun violence and murders??!!

sorry if this was confusing or sounded "sassy" in any way, I just really wanted to let this out and state my opinion and views on it.
