Rachel shivered, more than ever.
The only she could do was stare at the scratches.
She slowly, very slowly, stood up, walking to the wall where Jack had died. She ran her fingers over the deep scratches in the wall. The paw who made them had been so small, so fragile. just as the heart that wasn't beating anymore.
Pictures of Jamie laying on the ground, with a bullet in his heart, flashed through her head.
She stared.

Macon frowned. "wait, you were blacked out, how could you...?" it was clicking. "were you only playing to be blacked out?"

Jim closed his eyes. He was shaking.

The guilt and anger made him feel as if he was trapped in a small room. Alone. And then all the vctims he had shot appeared. And then his brother. He had tried to forget about him. Whenever he thought of him, the pain came back. As if Jim got stabbed with a knife in his heart everytime he'd think about his brother.
He looked at his arms.
Then he looked through the bars again and closed his eyes. Why couldn't he just die now? Then he wouldn't have to deal with this anymore. Then he wouldn't have to look at Rachel, who would see him as a cruel monster. He wasn't worth to live. He wasn't worth to be saved. But she was.

Hunter bit her lip. "Well...at first I was...I woke up just before Rachel did. I swear...you know, just before you told Jim to calm down because he was walking in circles...I'm so sorry! I was just happy because you were taking care of me and..." she wrapped her arms around him. "Sorry..."

Rachel turned around, looking at Jim, looking at the eye-catching scar on his nose. one of the times he was trying to protect Jake?
"Jim?", she whispered.

Macon grinned. "why am i not surprised. I wasn't sure if i had seen you moving, i thought it was just imagination. nothing to be sorry about."

He nodded slowly. >>She's going to break up. Should've known I'm not even able to love someone...not even for a day.<<

Hunter giggled. "Won't happen again!"

Rachel sighed. "When will you stop acting like I'm leaving you for something that wasn't your fault?"
she looked up at him. "Just give me a hug, I'm cold." and smiled weakly.

Macon had to laugh, too. "Yeah, niw I can care for you forever, without acting that I'm only caring for you because i'm the healer."

Jim turned around. "I'm so sorry", he walked up to her and wrapped his arms around Rachel. "If I hadn't lost my jacket, I would've given it to you."

Hunter smiled. "I like that thought!" She gave him a kiss on his cheek. "I'm really starting to worry about them. What if they won't return? What tell Jamie?"

Rachel looked up to Jim, into those captivating blue eyes. "wise men say only fools rush in..."
She cuddlet at his chest.
"why do you always think i'll be leaving you...i love you. no matter what."
she avoided looking at the scratches.

Macon sighed. "i have no idea...Jamie already loves Jim like a brother. Fascinating little man. He would fall apart if rachel and jim were gone forever."

"Don't have to tell me, I know I'm a fool.", he smiled and lay his head on Rachel's. "I don't know. It's just the first thought that crosses my mind."

Hunter nodded. "He's so fragile...just one bad word and I think he'll fall apart. Literally."

"you are just having a streak of bad luck." Rachel's heart beated faster. He had been through so much. Losing so much. his mother, his brother, his father.
"I'm with you, in good times as in bad times, till death do us apart."

Macon noded. "it was so close today. that little one is just as self-destroying as his sister.
Huge power, huge damage."

He pulled her closer. "Then I hope death will never come."

Hunter nodded. "I wonder how it's be like to ... What it's like to almost explode? Does that sound weird?"

Three soldiers arrived in front of the cage. "Time for the execution."
