Alright, it's been ages since I posted here because I've been too busy to do much with this thread and I've felt too guilty to post XP
I can't manage updating the front page and keeping things orderly (thankfully everyone here is nice and gets along |D) so I'd like to hand control of the thread over to someone else so that I can be a part of this again without feeling bad.
PM me if you're interested in running this thread; I'll only be considering people who have been active here already. I read every post, I just haven't said anything in a while.
Sorry about being so disorganized.

Without knowing the water parameters how do you know it's cycled?
It's been running for 2 years
Tanks don't cycle on their own. You would need to know the parameters to know if it's cycled.

Just elaborating on PeachFuzz's statement. Tanks, even after 2 years, may not be cycled. While from what I've heard (the fish store I go to has some very knowledgeable experts on fish), if your fish's been living in it for 2 years, it's likely the tank has cycled, or at the very least balanced itself out somewhat. However, even small changes in water perimeters or factors can bump a cycled tank into recycling or a mini cycle, and this can mess with the whole of the tank.
I would by a test kit as soon as you can, it can often lead to the answers to many fish diseases and deaths.
Otherwise I'd agree with Hime as a care treatment. Changing the water twice a week should help. Personally, I've changed the tank every other day about 25%. Cleared my betta's fin rot right up! If that doesn't work, I know Fungus Clear tablets have worked well for me... or, rather, my brother, whose betta is quickly recovering (despite desperately needing a larger tank.)

I don't know why he died, but It is possible that he was a marble.
Did he change color like this in the past?
He never changed color, he had a bit of red and white in his tail, but he was always black, so it was definitely a weird experience.

"Not particularly."

How long have you had him for?
If you have had him for a few years or so, then you might have to do a bit of web searching, because I have no clue.

what are you doing here?
in the real world?
and what are you doing here?
so close I could touch you?

I don't know why but I find it normal for my beta fish, He the only one who change color we got him like that but then at night you don't see that shiny body and neon color it wil be like a dark blue which I find it cool, it a bit hard to explain, he healthly, I just need clean his tank today, I will be cleaning his tank right now, Oh I forgot he kind of old, I had him before King, we got him when he was fully grown, we got king when he was like almost fully grow. No one knows both of their ages though, not even the petstore that we got them from
