Cootrunner yawns, her fangs gleaming in the moonlight. The black shecat was so tired that she zoned out and missed everything that had just happened. All she remembered was who was going to the gathering. Not me! She blinks, noticing Tom for the first time. Cootrunner stands, padding over to him. He was talking to other cats, and Puddlestar didn't seem to mind, so he must be allowed here. She twitches her whiskers with a smile. "Hello, I'm Cootrunner.

Obvious hesitation, being at gatherings always made him twitchy, but finally Vipereye gave a small nod. The mention of the gathering had obviously excited Littlepaw, it would be a shame to disappoint her just because large groups made his claws itch. "We'll be going as well, then." He mewed softly.

Birchpaw followed quickly a few steps behind his mentor, his eyes flickering around as he walked. After a few heartbeats he had sped up for a few steps to walk at Brackenlake's side, his head about in line with the tom's shoulder.

Puddlestar nods, flicking his tail to signal that the group was leaving. He pads out of camp with the parade following him to the Gathering. His signature smiles runs over his face as they arrive at the petrified oak. The tom always loved a chance to meet up with the other clans.

The she-cat bounced in glee when she heard that Vipereye had said yes to them going. They were going to a Gathering! On her first day as an Apprentice! Littlepaw trotted next to Vipereye, her gaze looking around for Wildstorm.

The tom was about to reply, when he glanced at the sky seeing that it was a full moon. "Oh StarClan!" He whipped his head towards Finchpaw. "I'm sorry Finchpaw, I for got that the Gathering was today! Come on, we can still make it to the group if we hurry. Besides, we get to see how fast you can go in forest terrain." Wildstorm smiled guiltly at his apprentice, then dashed off towards camp. Gah, I'm such a mouse-brain! "We'll have to explore the rest of the territory later then. And you'll learn how CloverClan is at the Gathering!" He called back.

Tom looked to the two kits and then the she-cat. He was half way panicking, considering he doesn't usually talk with cats. However, he kept his cool. "H-Hello. I'm Tom... I just joined you're clan, if you didn't hear." He looked up to the she-cat, smiling.

Soaringbird blinked at Tom, noticing for the first time that he wasn't one of her clanmates. "Oh, that's good. I'm Soaringbird, this is Cricketkit and Flamingkit." She mewed, nudging each kit in turn before looking back at Tom.

"What's your name?" She mewed, flicking her tail.

Ah, so he's new. The black shecat sits, drawing her tongue over one of her dark paws. "Tom? That's a strange name. But I guess you ARE a tom, so." She twitches her whiskers again. "Tom the tom? Do you have a sister named Shecat the shecat?" She purrs a small laugh, amusement aprkling in her eyes. She wasn't trying to be mean, but sometimes Cootrunner couldn't resist a good joke.

Tom shook his head. "Nope, but I did know a cat name Cat." He grinned, flicking his tail. He looked to the other she-cat and dipped his head. "I'm Tom. You have some beautiful kits, if you don't mind me saying." He was trying to be kind and polite, considering he was joining their clan. If most of the cats here didn't like him, it was bye-bye Tom. Bye-bye food till the rivers thawed.

Soaringbird chuckled at Cootrunner and Tom's joke. "Thank you, Tom." She purred. Cricketkit had lost interest in the new cat, having already turned and bounded away to find something else to mess with. Flamingkit was the only one who had stayed, settling next to Soaringbird on the ground, her white pelt nearly blending in entirely except for the flame red markings on her head and her full flame red tail.

"They're a handful." She mewed before looking at Tom. "Did Puddlestar give you a mentor?"
