kestrelstrike immediately noticed her tone, she really wasn't feeling all that great. he wasnt good at comforting so he immediately began to feel uncomfortable but he hid this easily. "well if you need anyone to talk to i'll be here to listen." he said this in an even tone, trying to be cheerful. even though he doubted it sounded like it. "mine has been utterly average. nothing exciting has happened quite yet." he said with a twitch of his whiskers. he surveyed the camp around ravenpelt, a habit of making sure everything was fine and nothing was going wrong.

finchpaw opens her eyes to see her leader alone. she had grown up with him being in charge, and he always seemed to look deep in thought. she stands up and pads over to him, knowing that he will more than likely want to watch the clan she stands beside him. the small shecat looks up at puddlestar with a glint in her eyes, "hello puddlestar!" her fluffy black tail was flicking back and forth as she stood before him.

As the flakes start drifting down, Eveningleaf decides to head for home. She turns, padding back to camp with the herbs bundles in her jaws. She mentally goes through what she found. Marigold, Bindweed, Cobweb, Blessed Thistle, Coltsfoot, Horsetail, Burdock Root, Comfry, a few Poppy Seeds, Tansy, Tormentil. No catmint, though. Here's to hoping no one gets whitecough this leafbare.

Pinepaw stops. "I'm sorry, Greywing," she mews, lowering her head. "But, look! We're almost to camp! Come on, lets go!" Instead of taking off like she wanted to, the brown tabby tuxedo waits for her mentor, deciding to pad by her side, since that seemed a bit safer. Definitly don't want to fall into another snowdrift and ruin my first catch!

The she-cat purred lightly at the tom, and nodded at her words. She wanted to be a good apprentice, one of the bests. Thank StarClan she wasn't deaf. Littlepaw was soon trotting towards the river at a steady pace.

The tom looked up when he noticed a cat walk into camp. It was Eveningleaf, the Clans Medicine cat. She was carrying a bundle of herbs, heading towards her den. Wildstorm bounded over to the Medicine cat, purring loudly. "Do you need some help, Eveningleaf?" He asked, indicating to the multiple herbs.

He lifted his head slightly as the snow started to fall. A flick of his ear, staying at Littlepaw's side as they headed for the river. They'd need to be more careful, then. If fishing was one of her weaker points, he'd need to be paying very close attention in case something happens. Especially if it were cold enough for snow to fall. Her health was more important, they could come back later if the river was dangerous currently.

Birchpaw followed quickly a few steps behind his mentor, his eyes flickering around as he walked. After a few heartbeats he had sped up for a few steps to walk at Brackenlake's side, his head about in line with the tom's shoulder.

finchpaw smiled, glad that he wasn't too busy to talk to her. she sat down next to him and curled her tail around her small paws. "I have been great but it seems like i'm not getting all that better in my training." she said with a sullen face. the small shecat was determined though, and wouldn't give up easily, even if she struggled. "i do know how to hunt though." she said with a laugh before looking up to puddlestar's face, "And you?"

"I'm ok, I guess. Greywing will make a good deputy, and all the apprentices have been assigned mentors. We will have a gathering in a few days, so that's nice." He sighs, his gaze trailing off over the horizon. "I just miss an old friend."

finchpaw looked up at puddlestar as he spoke and listened silently. When he paused her eyes narrowed a little bit. this wasn't like him at all. it is his business though so what can she do really? "yes! that is all good so you can relax at least, if that's any comfort to you." she tilted her head slightly and flicked her ear before responding to the last part of his statement, "were they a member of stoneclan?"

Puddlestar looks down at the apprentice, shock registering on his face, but her quickly wiped it off. "Yes, he was." The blue tom blinked. "You might remember him, Graniteslip. He was the old deputy. Went missing about three moons ago." Puddlestar looks down at the apprentice. "He was my best friend. We were like brothers. Our mothers kitted around the same time, and we grew up together. Became apprentices together. Sat our warrior vigil together. Naming a new deputy just makes me remember when I made him my deputy all those moons ago."

The she-cat soon made it to the river. It was moving slow, but it could change quickly in a flash. Since it was leaf-bare, snow would start to fall down and the river would freeze up. Littlepaw puffed out her fur slightly, feeling a tad cold. She crouched by the edge of the flowing water, and peeked in slightly if she could see any fish.

Wildstorm purred lightly at the Medicine cat. "Alright. Thank you!" He meowed, before starting to pad in the direction of where she had directed. He was about to call for his apprentice when he noticed Puddlestar was telling Finchpaw the story of him and Graniteslip, the old Deputy. Wildstorm sat down a small distance as he listened.
