Axenus didn’t have a good childhood. When he was three days old, his mother abandoned him at the doorstep of a run-down catholic adoption agency that was barely staying open. When he was two years old, the agency had to close, and he was transferred from the small, private run home to a much larger, government run home. He went in and out of different foster homes as he grew older, always causing too much trouble for any of the parents to stick around with him for very long.
One family specifically had a large impact on who he became; the Adams. Sounds like a totally normal, everyday family. But they so weren’t. The father was a violent drunk who was constantly out cheating on his wife, the mother had turned to drugs to forget about the bruises her husband left, and their daughter tried to find love from men at far too early of an age and ended up pregnant at fourteen. They only took Axe in for the money, but after about six months, they did the same thing as everyone else, and gave him back.
During his teenage years he became the typical bad boy. Girls fawned over him because he was a mystery; he was that guy that was tall, dark, and handsome. He drove a motorcycle that he fixed up himself, and had an amazing way with words. He could charm anyone into doing anything for him, and if for some reason they didn’t fall for it, Axe wasn’t at all afraid to turn things physical. He got suspended multiple times, and even expelled, for getting into so many fights that ended up with the other teen in the hospital.
He also began the habits of smoking and drinking at a young age. The cigarettes were a way to relax and destress, while the alcohol was a way to forget about his crappy life temporarily. He dropped out of high school when he was sixteen, and ran away from the adoption home that same year. He’s been pretty much off the grid ever since.
Now, at the age of twenty five, he works on a private vessel. He is a smuggler, for a wide variety of things, and he is the boss of his ship. The company he works for is involved in everything illegal that you could think of, and Axe is second in the company only to the CEO/Owner himself. However, he doesn’t like living life in the luxury of an office; he prefers to get his hands dirty.
I have also decided to look for a new mate for my new boy Mack.
He had a mate in the past, but they are long divorced, and
although he had one child with the male, he has no contact with the child.

Mack was born to a married couple who were both geologists. They were up in alaska on a research study, looking into a tip on some fossils in the area. It just so happened that the mother went into labor during the day, and that night the baby boy was born. The special thing was, this night just so happened to be the first night of the aurora borealis. The new family sat outside all night, just watching the beautiful lights in the sky.
Ever since that night, Mack has been absolutely obsessed with the night sky. His first word was “lights” and he was pointing at the stars. His entire childhood, he knew that he wanted to be an Astronomer. While in high school, he took specialized duel-enrollment courses at a local community college that related to his career/degree choice. He is an extremely intelligent young man, and was able to skip a year of high school and a year of college.
He currently is a research Astronomer for a nationwide government organization, but he also works part time as a college professor. He only teaches accelerated classes, aka the short classes that are entirely done in 4-6 weeks. That leaves him with plenty of time to balance his two jobs. Luckily, he is passionate about doing both, because he teaches Astronomy related classes only.
He comes across as slightly reserved when first meeting others, for he is trying to judge how to act around them. Because he is so smart, he can oftentimes come across as arrogant if he is not careful to watch his tongue. He tends to be a quiet character, even when he is comfortable around someone, he won’t talk very much, unless he has something specific to say about the topic at hand. Also, he is completely awkward around children, not knowing how to act or how to treat them or what to say.
When he was younger, fresh out of college actually, he traveled for research to Illinois, which was where his ex-mate was attending culinary school. They were young and foolish and rushed into things. They got married and had a baby girl. That was the point where Mack realized it wasn't going to work out. He was too young, he wasn't settled in his career, he didn't want a family, and he and Francis had nothing in common. They agreed to get divorced. Francis took Cassandra and Mack hasn't seem either of them since.
