Juymara Pride Adopts

Our History

We fought for our land. Some too hard,but all losing everything. After our numbers started crashing, we all ran to the valley, and hid like cowards. But... it was like we knew we were waiting for something. Something to save our home, some glimmer of hope somewhere from the dark. Then... He came. "Hahaha~ Hello there friend!" He didn't look like any of the lions we knew. But something told us we would never be the same after meeting him. He handed us a vial of his voodoo and told us "If you really wish to save your home, you all should partake in this, but I warn. Once you drink it, there is no going back. But there is only new beginning.~" Though his appearance was unsettling. What position could we really have to say no. We were hunted down to despicable numbers. So we took part in the ritual. When we came to in the morning. We felt stronger, more capable. And more alive. The Doctor's howling roar echoed over the valley. It felt as powerful as we felt and full of the same vigor. We roared and howled as well. We will keep fighting. And spreading this power for the good of our land. The Juymara Pride will grow and save our fellow beasts. And we will conquer the destroyers. Our planet depends on it.. On us.

Rules

This is a closed species you are not allowed to: recreate the species, make your own, sell the species, trade the species, or claim this as your own species.
If you own a Juymara Pride member, you can only trade them with other people who own one. And you must let us know when you plan to trade them so we can keep track in the archives.
You are not allowed to breed your own Juymara. You are not allowed to use the designs on other animals. Only use it on the Juymara you own.
You are not allowed to change the design. This includes: add things such as wings, extra horns, fur tuffs, or changing the colors, design of the fur, and ect.
Listen to the mods. If you are unsure about anything, ask on the page.
If you take your character off site you must link back here and credit me.
IF YOU BREAK THE RULES YOU WILL BE PUT ON PROBATION. IF YOU BREAK THEM TWICE YOU WILL BE BANNED AND YOUR JUYMARA TAKEN.

About the Juymara Females:
Females are part rattle snake, lion, horse, and wolf. They hunt in packs or use stealth and cunning when on their own. Though some are known to be more aggressive than males due to their defensive nature. They, like snakes, have double hinged jaws. When aggravated they will bring out their fangs to inject poison on their opponent. They are immune to poison themselves so they tend to not be afraid of other venomous beasts.

Character Bio: Scarlet is a quiet and intelligent Juymara. Some may call her a book worm. She is very loyal and always willing to help a friend in need. Her personality in five words would be shy, caring, inquisitive, dense, and honest. She is dense, because although she can give her friends romantic advice, she is too oblivious to realize when someone likes her, because she thinks no one would want a quiet girl.

Character Bio:

Quiet + Unyielding + Sweet + Well Read + Moralist

She's a successful herbalist and medicine (wo)man. More specifically, she grows, tends for and harvests herbs with medicinal properties. Using them, she creates a wide variety of medicines, some which can be consumed, some in pill form, some in powder, some even made into tea, as well as some which are applied locally to inflicted areas.

With her extensive knowledge on the subject, and her passion for learning more and more, she can create a wide variety of medicines. From those that prevent fatigue, to those that ease a stomach ache, to more dramatic things such as pain killers, medicines for burns, and even antibiotics and antidotes for different toxins. If she doesn't know, off hand, what medicine would be required to treat a patient, she does not give up, and throws herself into studying and experimenting until she has an answer.

Her desire to help others is grand and boundless, but may equally be considered one of her shortcomings as it is something good about her. LiLi is the sort of person that will push herself until she collapses when working treat patients. She's the sort that would help her enemy, or even hurt herself to prove that her own medicine is not harmful and is effective. Just as well, she forgives others easily.

When she is not working, LiLi is a somewhat shy Juymara. It can be difficult for her to make eye contact with others and she isn't often that chatty, unless it is a subject she is well versed in. Outside of work, she seems to prefer to keep to herself, but it is most likely because she is just not entirely confident in herself, otherwise. She enjoys reading, typically some sort of medical textbook, and drinking herbal teas of her own creation. Additionally, she enjoys gardening, raising flowers, not just herbs used for her medicine, and spending time frolicking through local forests. She is a fan of nature, especially enjoying Spring and Winter scenery.

While she is the sort to forgive easily, and she doesn't typically hold a significant grudge, she does not forget. And those that really, truly hurt her or, worse, someone important to her, her spiteful fury is boundless. Still, even if there is bad blood between her and another, as long as it was not something she absolutely could not forgive, it is possible that they could earn back her respect.

LiLi is guided by a strong moral compass. Although, that is not to say that her moral compass does not sometimes pull her in questionable directions. She has come to accept that some rules, inevitably, must be broken for the greater good or in favor of a more just cause. In her mind, everyone has a right to fight for themselves, to have the chance to better themselves. No one should make another person feel little.

Once she stands for something, she is unyielding and unforgiving, and almost like an entirely different Juymara. When fighting for what she believes is right, strength and confidence well up inside her, enabling her to face such challenges head on. She is simply that passionate of a being.

LiLi would describe her childhood as, "unremarkable," and doesn't usually bother going into details when asked about it. To her, it is not her past that is important. What she is doing in the here and now is important.

Character Bio: Dusk is a quiet girl, most think she's dim since she doesn't really say much. But she really just doesn't have much to say to idiots. So she keeps quiet and pretends she's the dumb once since, as the saying goes, "ignorance is bliss". When she's with someone who is actually enjoyable to be around she's actually very sweet. She loves to laugh and be a bit silly when she feels it's alright to do so. So far, not many have seen her carefree side, but it's there.
