Tavian had been seated close to Khalara, but hadn't been looking at her. Instead, he had been admiring Alice. Her snow white pelt drew him in because it was relaxing and seductive at the same time. Something about the female made his skin crawl, but his secret was he had never spoken to her. As the Alpha, Lucien, greeted the gathered wolves, the male's ears pricked forward. His tail stiffened though his facial expressions did not adjust. His ears flattened as the Alpha explained the generation of given pairings. And upon hearing his pairing, Khalara, his eyes widened. Tavian's tail smacked the ground but his jowls held tight together. His fiery gaze moved to focus on the tri-colored female he had been paired with. She approached him and this insulted him. He growled, moving towards her with quick steps. His tail hung limp as he took in her scent, his eyes meeting her's but he still said nothing. He was at a loss for words, avoiding the urge to look over his shoulder to see Alice greeting her pairing, Markos.

Collecting his thoughts, Tavian managed to nod acknowledgement to his new pairing, Khalara. He stood firmly in front of her, lifting his head over her's, attempting to place his lower jaw on her forehead to signal affection. "Yes, I will clear some twigs from the sun spot in my den for you," he stated in mid-thought, though it was said aloud and was open to misinterpretation. "I mean, I think you'd like that. Waking up to sun rays in the morning..." He held stiff while his speech butchered his regal demeanor.

Galleni wandered into the clearing just in time to hear her Alpha's orders. Her lips parted, glancing towards the admirable Kazimir. She was astonished by her Alpha's decision, and through deductive reasoning, figured who the female was that Lucien decided for himself. "You sly dog," she thought playfully whilst spotting Katrinka. She looked over to Kazimir, dressed in an elegant robe of white fur, and began lusting over the male. Her tongue lolled out over the rim of her jaws. Her ears wiggled with an eager scenting nose. Her nostrils flared until she stood to all four paws, her tail flicking wildly. A bark called out to Kazimir before she decided to shuffle her paws and move in his direction. Her plain eyes fixed on his prestigious figure, her legs making even strides with gingerly placed steps. "Kazimir, don't be so surprised. She mused sticking her tongue out with a whine to follow.

He couldn't believe what his ears just heard. Slightly dazed, his optics rested on Alice for a split second, before averting to Kharala. Something fuzzy bubbled up in him, watching as the fae went towards her new mate. His heart sunk, arising to his paws as he looked towards Lucien, his alpha. He gave a slight nod, before trekking hesitantly towards Ayame. He parted his maw to speak, his lounge dry as sandpaper. "I.. we.." He paused for a few moments, nipping at the inside of his cheek. "We haven't really-- well, formally met." He began, taking in a breath before slowly releasing it as it vapored into mist. Had the world ended or was it just him?

Alice suddenly scrambled down the small rock. She felt dizzy, astonishment clinging to her Crystal optics. She scrambled to her paws, shooting her alpha a shocked gaze. She looks at Roukan, a frown playing with her face. Was this a dream? She nipped at her foreleg, before internally wincing. She looked at her new mate, Markos. They had.. they had never spoken to each other before, but she knew she saw him around. Her maw shut, she forced a smile to crack on her lips;; a fake smile. She headed towards, the small fae looking up at markos with fretting Crystal optics. Are you sure this wasn't a dream?

Ayame was in shock, her eyes on their Alpha, listening to all of the pairings. Finally hearing her name, she froze, slightly glancing over towards the Beta, lowering herself to make herself seem smaller, "..Great.." She mumbled under her breath, looking over towards her brother, watching as they made eye contact. She then looked back over towards the brute, who was proclaimed her new mate, watching as he came over. Listening to him, she simply nodded, "Yes.. we haven't. I'm uh, sorry, you got paired with such a small fae.." She shifted her weight, a little uncomfortable, the air awkward between them. "..I wasn't expecting this."

Northe licked his muzzle, quite excited to be meeting his new mate, hopping up to his feet, but he couldn't quite see her anywhere, but he spotted her black fur, also telling by her scent, and he walked over towards her, nudging her neck a little, "Hello.. uh.. if you're ready, we can move your stuff into the den, and we could get to know each other more..? What do you say, hm?" Northe smiled, sitting back on his haunches, yawning a little and waiting, just in case she was in shock, or upset that she didn't get the one that she wanted.

Roukan shrugged awkwardly, his fluffy black tail swaying graciously. "Its fine. My sister is quite-- she's small too." he bit his lip, his tufts ears flattened. "Anyways.. let's get you.. settled." he uttered, before awkwardly yet affectionately licking beneath her chin. He mumbled something beneath his breath, his crystallight optics resting downwards on the female.

Ayame smiled a little, tilting her head up from the affectionate lick under her chin, returning the small lick on his cheek. She scrambled to her paws, almost being half his size, but she was most likely faster than her newly acquired mate, but he was much stronger. "..Good idea, hopefully the awkwardness will go away in time. I mean, Alpha Lucian wouldn't pair us if we weren't a good match, right..?" The fae spoke, mostly to herself, before she looked up at him again, taking in his scent, "Lead the way, dear." She playfully teased, nudging him, trying to lighten up the mood.
