His little white head quickly shakes back and forth, hardly believing what he just heard. "Never! It's against the code to kill another cat unless it's you or him. Even then, we try to avoid that kind of bloodshed on any terms. Trouble is fine, but killing is terrible!" Killing another cat didn't prove anything, it wasn't like prey where one killed only to sustain life.

"I know but I don't exactly follow the Warrior Code." Cinder replies, slightly amused by his reaction. Clan cats were so against killing and bloodshed! Bloodshed literally happened everyday of her life! "I'd didn't exactly say I'd be staying anyway. If I'm trying, the Warrior Code isn't gonna be he first thing I'll be thinking about."

"Our code is supposed to separate us from rouges and other animals who live by savage nature. Not taking the life of another cat, saving a kit in need regardless of background, feeding our elders and queens first, no falling in love with cats outside our own clans..." His paws shuffle in the dust, not sure if she'd even care about living under any rule. He thought it was better than being alone all the time, especially since Crowstar would come back to fight her again sometime soon.

Cinder yawns a fake yawn. "Boring! Too many rules for me!! You wanna know what my rules are?" She asks, smirking. "There are not rules, just do what you please. You can kill a kit if you wanted!" She continues without letting the tom reply. "Oh, and talking about clans reminds me of something, Crowstar said I should fight him at midnight. As if!"

The tom loses his worried face almost instantly, dropping his ears and standing tall. His haunches bristled and his blue eyes were slits as he glared at the she-cat. "Kill a kit!? You think it's ok to take the life of someone who can't even defend themselves? Someone else's kitten!" The tom hisses hatefully, forcing himself not to jump her on the spot. "Forget it then, a cat like you deserves to die slowly and painfully, alone if you think that kind of slaughter is ok, ever!" He spits before turning away from her and stomping back towards camp, biting his lip so hard it began to bleed. What a horrible thing to say! She probably wouldn't be alive now if someone hadn't shown her mercy before, and yet she had no honor to defend or stand for. Shallow lump of fur..!

Cinder grins, watching the tom storm away. "See ya!" She calls after him before bursting out laughing. Clan cats these days! Still laughing, she gets to her paws and silently slinks after the tom, following him to the clan's camp. She makes sure to stay a few foxtails away, while also making sure to not snap any twigs.

He couldn't believe how foxhearted that cat was, even worse he thought they could be friends. Sighing, the tom decides it's best to lose her scent and bring something back to camp. Turning, he heads for the river instead guessing a few fish and the water would make a better story for his absence. Any horsetail or reeds could help musk his scent, but nothing could wash away her evil. Listening to the river's soft roars ahead, the tom picks up the pace not wanting to return at sundown.

Cinder leaps up a tree, watching the tom approach the river. She was planning to follow the tom back to camp to cause some mischief. Patience wad the key to getting something you want, so she waits for the tom to finish fishing.

Firstly, he finds a patch of horsetail and rubs his body against them, washing away her revolting scent and musking his own. Then the young tom crouches beside the river and gazes into the water, spotting a minnow quickly darting through the water. Raising a paw, he snatches it from the waves and sends it onto the shore. Pouncing it and biting it's neck in one swift movement, he settles down with it between his paws; gazing at the sky. "You know Willowear, I always thought you'd be here to see become a warrior, how am I supposed to make the right choices now?" He had dreams of his mother many times, but her silence prickled through his fur like ants. Sighing heavily, he picks up his kill and slowly slugs back towards camp with his head low. He was angry, sad, feeling a little betrayed since all he ever offered was kindness to everyone only to have them turn on him. "Who am I kidding? Not even a mother could love a kit like me..."
