Signing Off: A Signature Fanclub - Come Join!

Boot and I run a co-ed signature ship ("segregated," as Zey described it) - though our prices are extremely similar and we've "known" each other for longer; the communication isn't really a huge issue and the drama probably won't crop up too horribly. I'm not sure how she feels about it (as, unless I'm mistaken, it's her main shop now) - but running it on the side with a shop of my own isn't all bad. I like to think our skills are matched (if anything she's better than me///) and the workload is even..? Though there are activity spikes etc

Of course the experience can vary but that's my take on it /w\

Just to add on to the discussion of co-ed sig shops,
there will be competition regardless of whether it is a connected
or a segregated sig shop. This is especially if you are working with
a well known coder, or vice versa. You may be hidden under the
shadow, or have everyone ordering from only you.

My advice to avoid this is to try to work with someone on
the same coding level as you. This can make everything
somewhat equal.

Endorsing this so much. For me, I don't want to be the person to overshadow someone, because it is a horrible feeling being overshadowed.

alright... onto my own sig. i threw this one together today because i wanted to do some more edits, and i like how it turned out. its opposite of a layout i made for a friend on cs! comments & feedback would be appreciated c:

It looks fabulous! The gif on the right hand side had me memorized for a while trying to figure out how it was made and put together, and the rest of the signature is complementing the sig extremely well.

This is the coding for my latest signature but I can't seem to get the text centered beside the image. Is there any way to do that?

You'll want to post stuff like this on the Digitally Distinct Coding Help Thread, but from what I can tell while on mobile, here's your dilemma.
I believe what you need to do it put left brackets around the image, then more around the text. Put center brackets inside the latter.

I'm not sure if you found your solution @ DD yet or if you'll even see this but to add to para's statement, you can nest tags like [center] and [right] within [left] tags - useful for using columns but having varied alignments!! Just be sure you keep the nesting right or the code will break :<

@gods; the gif on the right is super cool! did you make it yourself? it's a good monochromatic signature. i love the font-setting, it really suits the quote. all i can say is that some 'borders' (using █) around the edges would make it seem more complete?

@can-can (may i call you that? everyone seems to, aaa); the signature looks very lovely! your simplistic signatures are always great. my only irk is that it looks like some of the text got cut off at the edges! but it is still a nice signature :>

sometimes if i'm feeling particularly sad, i'll make a sad-ish signature. if i'm feeling peppy, i'll make a more lighthearted one. does anyone else do this?

not really? i mostly make sigs depending on what song i like at the moment or what show/books/manga im interested in. my mood is usually about the same all the time, so i dont think it affects it much... honestly i have to think about it a bit :')

Likes gods, I don't really make a signature based on my emotions (unless I get really irritated with my planew and go with something simple like I did with my current one). I mainly make a signature based off of what I am interested in at the time, be it a TV show, manga, book, or even a song I'm infatuated with. I go off of their emotions rather than my own, if that makes any sense.

Do I create signatures to vent?

I did when I was actively making signatures. My more demonic and negative looking ones with darker colour palettes were often venting type signatures based off the idea of me just... Not liking my current situation or having pent up stress or other strong emotions at a time.

I also do signatures for when something happened, especially as of late and with my current signature which I still cannot believe happened and I am rekt in pieces over it.

Does your mood affect your signature?

With my mood, for myself yes. My mood and mental setting often effects signatures I make. However with a client, the answer is no. I refuse to let mood shake up a client's order.
