Ravenwing had been travelling for several days now, searching for a new place to live for the time being since twolegs had destroyed his last home. It was then that he came across a scent that marked some sort of border. He could smell that it was some territorial cat. Actually, several cats. But since he had never cared much about restrictments of any sort, so he crossed the border and entered clan territory.

Cinder raises her eyebrows. "You want to see me all the time?" She asks, looking at the tom with an amused look. "Sounds nice and all, I'd have company... But too much for my liking." The tom wanted to see her all the time... She didn't know if he was developing feelings for her or if he was trying to get her to join. After all, they were sort of acquaintances now.

He sighs slightly, looking at the few scratches along her pelt with a frown. "I left and look what happened, you were alone and got attacked; injured too. Maybe not all the time, but you'd be safer... Besides, crabby cats like you aren't swarmed with attention anyway." He adds with a joking tone, not sure if she could handle being alone forever. Rogues weren't much better company, especially if someone stuck around too long with one cat.

"Hmm... I guess.... But clan cats have to live by a strict code and routine, like wake up early, feed elders first and lots more stuff I couldn't care about." Cinder meows, continuing to argue against his suggestion. She could try it... no, she couldn't, it wouldn't work, would it?

"Nothing without reason, I mean... If you were too old to hunt for yourself or were caring for kits, wouldn't it be nice to have someone help take care of you? Elders have served our clan for many seasons and we only return the favor after their bones begin to crack from their moons of hard work. No rules are there just because, there is always meaning behind them." He answers; skillfully in his opinion. Crowstar knew she could hunt and fight now, a little sweet works and she was as good as any cat.

"It's not like I'm planning on having kits. Or it's not like I'm gonna have any. If I did have kits, I'd have my mate by my side to help with all the hunting. Plus, I'm not dying as a rusty old elder that's cooped up in a tiny den." Cinder meows, now sitting up.

He shrinks down, narrowing his eyes at his paws. "We all grow old and things happen that aren't planned... My mother and father both died, but there were still cats around to take care of me... It may not mean much now when you think the path ahead is straight but..." He pauses, trying not to let his sadness sink in too deeply but he couldn't help it either.

Cinder blinks, noticing how upset the tom seemed. "Umm... If you want me to I could try it out... you know, clan life. Just for a few days or something." She meows softly, moving over to the tom to place her tail comfortingly on his shoulder.

He felt bad about breaking down like that in front of he, hesitantly shaking his head. "I'll let you think about it, I just don't want to find that confident calico crushed by whitecough or a fox attack. Things hardly ever go as planned, I just hope you know that too." Some cats planned to have kits while others got carried away and ended up with them instead. He was always worried about cats on their own; even Cloverpaw's silence bothered him some days.
