Ella smiled and kissed him back. After a few seconds, she pulled away. She looked back at the counter. "We should finish." She said.

"Yeah," said Milo, making a 'ahem' sound. He picked up a few bowls and began scrubbing them in the sink. However, he managed to spill a bit of soapy water on the floor, and when he took a step, the boy's feet flew out from under him and he landed on his back on the floor.

Ella walked over to him and helped him up. She picked up a cloth and wiped up the mess. She threw the cloth on the counter and started washing the dishes.

The day so far had been a mess of anger and fighting and Ella and now... the calm that allowed him to slip back into his usual clumsiness suddenly struck Milo as hilarious. He began laughing so hard that he had to lean over and hold onto the table so he wouldn't slip again.

"What's so funny?" Ella asked. She turned towards him and tilted her head slightly, curious.

Milo stopped laughing for just a second to grin up at Ella, and he said, "Everything. It's all funny, if you think about it. And I'm so clumsy- there's soap all over everything."

"Except you." Ella laughed. Taking a scoop of soap and blowing it at him.

Milo sneezed, then looked at Ella with an exaggerated pout on his face. "That wasn't very nice, young lady!"

[I gotta go, guys. Dinner, and then homework. Meh.]

Ella laughed. She wiped the soap off the floor and then off Milo. She leaned against the counter. "It's pay back for you fighting Patric." She said.
