Juymara Pride Adopts

Our History

We fought for our land. Some too hard,but all losing everything. After our numbers started crashing, we all ran to the valley, and hid like cowards. But... it was like we knew we were waiting for something. Something to save our home, some glimmer of hope somewhere from the dark. Then... He came. "Hahaha~ Hello there friend!" He didn't look like any of the lions we knew. But something told us we would never be the same after meeting him. He handed us a vial of his voodoo and told us "If you really wish to save your home, you all should partake in this, but I warn. Once you drink it, there is no going back. But there is only new beginning.~" Though his appearance was unsettling. What position could we really have to say no. We were hunted down to despicable numbers. So we took part in the ritual. When we came to in the morning. We felt stronger, more capable. And more alive. The Doctor's howling roar echoed over the valley. It felt as powerful as we felt and full of the same vigor. We roared and howled as well. We will keep fighting. And spreading this power for the good of our land. The Juymara Pride will grow and save our fellow beasts. And we will conquer the destroyers. Our planet depends on it.. On us.

Rules

This is a closed species you are not allowed to: recreate the species, make your own, sell the species, trade the species, or claim this as your own species.
If you own a Juymara Pride member, you can only trade them with other people who own one. And you must let us know when you plan to trade them so we can keep track in the archives.
You are not allowed to breed your own Juymara. You are not allowed to use the designs on other animals. Only use it on the Juymara you own.
You are not allowed to change the design. This includes: add things such as wings, extra horns, fur tuffs, or changing the colors, design of the fur, and ect.
Listen to the mods. If you are unsure about anything, ask on the page.
If you take your character off site you must link back here and credit me.
IF YOU BREAK THE RULES YOU WILL BE PUT ON PROBATION. IF YOU BREAK THEM TWICE YOU WILL BE BANNED AND YOUR JUYMARA TAKEN.

About the Juymara Females:
Females are part rattle snake, lion, horse, and wolf. They hunt in packs or use stealth and cunning when on their own. Though some are known to be more aggressive than males due to their defensive nature. They, like snakes, have double hinged jaws. When aggravated they will bring out their fangs to inject poison on their opponent. They are immune to poison themselves so they tend to not be afraid of other venomous beasts.

Describe where she lives: Miyako lives in a place that not many would choose to call home, but she continues to live there for her own personal reasons. At its best, it was a thriving forest, where things seemed to be in perpetual twilight. Fireflies flew like little stars upon the earth, and cicadas sang their song to even those who did not wish to listen. The trees were beautiful, ranging from white oaks to even the darkest furred pines. Along the forest floor you would see an abundance of different flower varieties, and the little bees that buzzed around them. It was a beautiful place, where harmony and respect for others in the forest abounded, until the fire happened. The orange flames cracked and flickered, growing stronger with every piece of the forest it consumed. Miyako, her family, and the many animals of the forest were driven away from each other, fleeing in a panic. Miyako watched her home burn, for days on end, and when they flames finally died down, there was nothing but charred, black ash and burnt trees standing where tall, grand oaks and proud maples once danced in the wind. With time, the grass started to grow back, more hardened than before, but the forest hasn't completely recovered yet, and it won't ever be the beautiful forest it was ever again. Fire destroyed it, but Miyako is determined to not let this be the end of her home.

Describe where she lives: Under the ancient time worn skeleton of a what was once a grand tree, up on the moors. Where the wind howls through the heather turning it into a rippling ocean of green. Where the weather can turn on a soul in an instant. In the places where the fog pools so thick it sends even the most wary of travelers into a spiral of anxious dismay as they try to find their way back or simply wait for it go away as quickly as it rolled in.

Describe where she lives: She lives in a place called the Forbidden Forest. It is a place only brave or stupid adventure's enter. It is rumored to be filled with horrific beasts and monsters. It is on the side of a lake and the trees on the edge are black. However, the deep you go, the more it changes. Black trees and brittle grass turn to weeping willows with beautiful flowers, and lush green grass. It is a sanctuary of magic. All forms of creatures liv here, from elves to Griffins. It is the only safe haven they know.

Describe where she lives: Nora has lived in a place in the pride lands where no one has ever been too. She has gone back to the place ever since it froze over. She broke through the ice and found the cave, the place she had been looking for all along. The cave she found was beautiful! It had flowers on every ledge. It had ledges everywhere with bright pink flowers. Waterfalls flowed from the celling of the cave. Fresh fish swimming in the pools below. A heat pool in the right corner with water spouts shooting out water. And more to come! Trails through the cave leading to abandoned mineshafts. Jewels everywhere! More streams and water! This was her home. Her dream place.

Her permanent home is a strange, almost unearthly place filled with arcane magic, that's often said to be haunted by wayward spirits. It's a long since abandoned stone temple, one whose actual history is not known, and most tend to avoid it because of the exterior's state of dilapidation. Although the outside is worn with age and neglect, she has been slowly been making improvements to the interior; making it livable. Supposedly, it was built on top of a rift between realms, and the arcane magic seeps in through that rift. However, Maija is unable to say if any of this worlds any merit or not.

Her less permanent dwelling is anywhere that she can find shelter. One of Maija's prominent past times is following lightning storms, so she tends to travel around, chasing storms, for long periods of time. She may even been gone from home for months at a time. Not knowing where she will end up each day, she makes due with that she can.

Maija discovered the temple during her travels and was drawn back to it several times, before deciding to make it into a permanent home. Up until then, she has always been a traveler with no home to return to.
