 Feeling the warmth of the morning sun on her fur, she convinced herself to wake up. She streched out her front paws and yawned, she looked around the clan. A few cats were awake, nothing special. Perhaps there was a patrol to be done?

 The young tom realised it was morning, although he was so sleepy. 'Come on, wake up, Puddlestar won't make you deputy if you can't even wake up!' He thought to himself, shortly after he bounded to his feet and shook out his fur, "What a lovely morning." He sighed gently.

The tom pricked his ears as he heard Warriors start to wake up. He was feeling a little restless, he needed to get out of Camp. Wildstorm turned to Littlepaw, and smiled. "Mind if I go on a patrol?" He purred. Littlepaw nodded quickly. The Warrior dipped his head down to lick his daughters face, which she let out a small mew of protest. Chuckling, Wildstorm turned around and walked up to Ravenpelt. "Good morning, Ravenpelt!" He greeted happily. "Do you think we could start a patrol? I mean, you're not the Deputy but....." He chuckled lightly.

The Apprentice licked a paw, and dragged it across her face. She quietly [ duh ] started to groom herself. Afterwards, Littlepaw stretched again and just absentmindedly walked around camp.

The blue tom remembers why he has to pick a new deputy, and why the apprentices need mentors. Graniteslip went missing three moons ago. Puddlestar had postponed picking a new deputy in hopes that the old deputy would return, as well as the apprentice ceremonies. He had wanted Graniteslip to mentor one of them. He was my best friend.
Mintheart's mew snaps him out of his dark thoughts. "Hello Mintheart!' his voice rang out on the brisk morning air. Puddlestar smiled. "I was just trying to catch a few fish before the patrols went out, but it seems like I've caught a warrior instead."

Eveningleaf mewed to her apprentice. "Look outside, over at the Willowclan border. Snowclouds." She pauses, flicking an ear. "We need to gather any herbs we can find so they don't wilt from the frost, and if we find any new ones, I'll teach you how to use them. That sound good to you?" She looks at her apprentice, waiting for a response.

The tabby jumps up with a feeling of pride, having won the battle singlepawed in her dream. She dashes out of the den, feeling invigorated. A small ploof sounded as she ran straight into Brackenlake

Mintheart giggled. "I can see. Well a little tip. If you go upstream a little more you could probably catch more fish. You also probably already know that though, sorry." She looked nervous, a small blush on her cheeks.

Greywing looked around the camp from the background, her fluffy tail flicking every once and awhile. She smiled as Mintheart and Puddlestar talked, the tom bubbly and warm and the she-cat flustered and blushing. I don't understand why she doesn't just tell him. Maybe because if she does and he picks her, she doesn't want others to think it was favoritism? She stood and stretched, her lean muscles bunching and relaxing under her pelt. "Puddlestar, do you want company?" She questioned idly, padding up to the two but pausing a tail length away. I dont want to intrude.

The tuxedo tom padded out of the warrior's den, blinking awake. He realized it was already almost dawn, and would gather a patrol for the Clan. Flexing his claws to get the feeling out of them, he padded over to Brackenlake and Greywing. "Hey, you two, do you both want to go on hunting patrol with me? I know I am not deputy but I think it will be helpful to do."

Frostpaw awoke, her emerald yellow eyes gleaming. Today she would probably have her warrior ceremony! She padded toward the clearing, grabbing a mouse from the prey pile, then began to groom her fluffy white pelt. She then finished and ate her prey, wondering if anyone wanted to talk to her.

Puddlestar nods a warm greeting to Greywing. "Of course, come join us. I'm sure with three cats we will catch enough fish to feed all of Starclan!" The blue tom gets up, padding a few tail lengths upstream like Mintheart suggested. He again peers into the water, her tail tip flicking every so often. His paw darts into the water, so fast you could miss it in the blink of an eye. A silvery fish flies out of the water, and Puddlestar snatches it in his jaws, killing it with a sharp crunch. "THat was a good suggestion!" the tom purred to Mintheart, even though he had already know the tip. "The water is quite cold, though. Brrr! Puddlestar laughs, shaking the droplets off his paw.
