His ears pricked forward as he listened to Dewpaw's reply to the joke. He couldn't quite decide if it was laughter or a snort of irritation. The tom padded ahead of her, and he gestured towards the direction that he said with his tail. ''Shall we follow the scent trail, or should we head back to camp and leave him be,'' the tom asked hesitantly. He wanted to head back to camp, but he knew that Dewpaw probably wouldn't want to leave without Foxpaw. It took all of Cedarpaw's self control to not leave and find his mentor to go battle training. He always found hunting to be extremely boring to him, and the thought of battle always sent a thrill through his paws. He knew that he should feel ashamed for it, but a small part of him missed it when they were battling with the Darkforest.
