Welcome to Spiritclan, may you haunt for all eterntiy.

Swirling, whirling, twisting. A fog creeps over the land. One moment there is nothing but the mist. The next, a million blinking eyes stare at you from within the shadows. A small, ghostly figure steps out among them, her fur washed in moonlight. "Welcome to Spiritclan, may you haunt for all eternity,"her ghostly voice rings out across the clearing, sending shivers down your spine. Her unblinking yellow eyes never stray from your face, those empty eyes that hold no soul. "You are newly dead," she says, her words filling the silent night. She glances away for a moment, to stare at the eyes that watch from within the shadows. "It has been many long moons, since we have had a newly dead," she murmers, her souless eyes once more resting upon you. "Come with me, and behold the horrors of Spiritclan," she says, her voice dead and empty. She stands, staring into your eyes for a long moment, before turning and dissapearing into the shadows. She knows you will follow, for they always follow.

Spiritclan, was once a living clan of cats, great cats, destined for victory. Their leader, was powerful, noble, and wise. Alas, he trusted to easily. A cat from afar, spoke of great ways to rule over the clans, to have respect from every living creature. He painted pictures in the leaders mind, tainting it with evilness. This cat, he was known by the name of Haunt, for the way he toyed with your mind, haunting it, filling it with pictures of things to come, and tainting it with evil. This cat, Haunt, he spoke of a great war to come, a war in which Spiritclan would win. "You are destined for greatness," he would say. And it was true, they were, but they were destined for a different kind of greatness, without this cats help. But Haunt, you see, he was a strong, young cat, and by now the leader was growing old. And Haunt, he was tired of waiting for the old leaders answer, and so he brought death upon the old leader, tainting him with the sickness of those bright red berries. Spiritclan calls them Blood Berries, for their color, and for the horror they bring upon a cat. This young, foolish cat, thought he had won, when he murdered Spiritclan's leader, and took over the clan. Haunt had ideas in his mind, and he planned to fulfill them. Haunt slowly took over the other clans of the forest, in ways even I dare not speak of. Haunt was foolish enough to murder the leaders of all the clans. Alas, for him, he was from afar, and knew nothing, of the Old Pact. A nursery ryhme at the time, but had a meaning of something far greater. The Old Pact called upon the murdered leaders of a clan, giving them the power to send this cat to the Haunted, a forest with no way to leave. The leaders called upon the Old Pact, and sent Haunt spinning into darkness, a curse laid upon him, to walk the Forest of the Haunted, for all eternity. Alas, the great leaders did not know, that this very curse, would send all of Spiritclan to the Forest of the Haunted. So the cats of Spiritclan, were banished form the world of the living, not to see another sunrise.

The cats of the Haunted, they walk a different path, one filled with loneliness, horror, and death. They have lived this way so long, they have even veered away from the ways of a normal clan, of the way they used to be. But there is a small kindle of hope burning in the hearts of these souless cats. For Ghost, a wise and noble cat, has risen to power among the Haunted, and brought them together, making them Spiritclan once more. And the Teller, the healer and seer of all, has recieved a prophecy, that speaks of hope. These cats, the cats of Spiritclan, the cats of The Forest of the Haunted, they just might return to the living world again.

Five cats of Haunted, they see the Haunt
In a different light.
These five cats, they bring of hope,
Have fire burning, in their eyes.
They speak of day,
And of light,
And love,
Hope, and Faith, and a living soul.
Although they have never known these wonderous things,
Born among the cats of Haunt.
They see the starry path laid out,
A trail to follow,
To lead to Home,
Once more
Cats of the living Spiritclan.
