Puddlestar sat near the stream quietly, his blue fur rippling slightly in the light breeze. It was dawn, the best time for fishing, as well as one of Puddlestar's favorite times of day. He peered into the murky water, attempting to spot a fish, hopefully a trout. Trout were his favorite. A thought passed through his mind lazily, like a slug. Today is the day I'm picking my deputy. I also have to give the apprentices their mentors.. He sighed. What a busy and eventful day

Eveningleaf blinked her eyes open. She had stay up late last night, sorting herbs for her lesson with Echopaw. She twitched her whiskers at the scent of herbs, but over the moons she had gotten used to it. She heaves herself up onto her paws, checking the herb stores for the morning.

Pinepaw was sleeping in her nest quietly. She kicked her back leg, dreaming. Pinepaw had spent almost the entire night training, and no one had noticed her slip back into the apprentice den a few hours before dawn. Even Puddlestar was still sleeping at that time.

The tom forced his eyes to open, a blank look on his face. He stood up slowly, and stretched letting out a loud yawn. Wildstorm exited the Warrior's den, and first thing he saw was Littlepaw. The warrior smiled, and bounded over to his daughter who greeted him with a smile. "Morning Littlepaw! Did you sleep well?" He asked. Littlepaw nodded slightly.

Blackfrost yawned silently and went to pull Duckkit close, but realized he wasn't there. The silk-furred queen let out a hiss of annoyance when she heard Duckkit's exited squeaks from the clearing.

"Let's go."She said, picking him up by his scruff and heading back to the nursery, trying to hold on as Duckkit wildly waved his paw at the others.
