RPW #1002

Here we have a little Shakespeare rpw! Happy 400 years of being in the dust, Will! Their mask is half smiley, and half frowny.

Username;; ten thousand
Name;; rosaline
Gender;; Agender
Where did they get their mask;; they made it ! rosaline never was the outgoing type, but she always admired the drama club at her school. She was more of a pottery class kid, where a lot of performing or conversing wasn't necessary, so she made multiples of the mask throughout the years just practicing to make the perfect, full size one, she wears constantly now. It's her pride and joy, and is an outward representation of who she wants to be on the inside; quite ironic, as masks are usually the opposite and hide your true self.

Username;; .bookbound.
Name;; Archive
Gender;; male
Where did they get their mask;; Archive found the mask abandoned, covered in dust in the center of the street. A parade had wandered through earlier in the day, celebrating Shakespeare's brilliance. It fit well, and so he wears it around, rarely taking it off.

Where did they get their mask;;
This mask has been passed down in Aravis' family forever! Rumor has it, that it originally belonged to some great-great-great-great-great grandfather who used it during his time performing on Broadway. Aravis isn't sure which parts of the origin story is actually true, but he's willing to believe it, if not just for fun. Either way, theatre is something has been passed down through the family, so Aravis does get some use out of the mask performing, and maybe the mask will eventually make its way back to Broadway and complete the cycle.

Where did they get their mask;;
Recently, Miller got a job to play at an old theater. It was abandoned and no one had really owned it for ages. A couple months ago Miller's boss decided they would buy the building and work there instead. First they needed to clean out the old building, to start moving other stuff in. Everything there was mainly tarp, or wrappers, nothing really to fun. There were a couple of boxes though. The building didn't seem as old at is was, but really the building was older than Miller's great grandparents. So there was some pretty " ancient " stuff there. As Miller was searching through one of the boxes, she found some really cool stuff, a really dusty, old, torn, cape, that looked like it had been used many years ago, in many plays, and a white mask. She kept the two items and used them in her upcoming performances.

Where did they get their mask;; It's their "ghoul" mask (they aren't really a ghoul, just a cute nerd), hand crafted by them self from old wood cut down in a nearby theater. It was specifically made from parts of the stage, the spirit of the art inside of each carve. At least, that's what they believe. Sometimes they can feel a sense of magic surge through them when they put it on, but I'm sure it's just all in their head... isn't it?

Where did they get their mask;; their mask is a result of numerous tries and numerous fails. It represents their childish side and their serious side, two parts of her that she needs to live with. Might as well represent it, she says. Plus her love of writing helped her to come up with it. After a friends said that they can help, they jumped at the oppurtunity. The friend was studying arts and got his paws on a 3D printer. Soon, for her birthday, he got her the mask she always wanted. The first time she tried making her own mask was when she was a youngster but used paper and glue with glitter markers. It didn't end so well. But once her friend got her the mask she was extremely happy.
