Aldershade and Sparkheart sound the best in my opinion! These are some names I've come up with:

Alderpaw
> Aldershadow! I think -shadow because it kinda resembles the fact that he's a bit ShadowClan.
> Alderpelt. After his father's sister, Tawnypelt!
> Alderberry, because he's medicine cat apprentice.

Sparkpaw
> Sparkblaze. This isn't relating to Firestar at all - but she's a good fighter. The suffix -blaze is usually for that.
> Sparkdawn. She's quite an enthusiastic cat!
> Sparklight, for her happiness and being generally cheerful.

I haven't read The Apprentice's Quest yet, but I know a lot about it because I read previews and stuff. But I'm on The New Prophecy: Midnight right now, although nearly finished!

I'm going to put it out there it's actually the first book, anything after that it's classified as a spoiler. I've been a little laid back on that rule but if it does keep up I will start giving stikes if need be.

I finally bought the newest book, and I was trying to figure everything out but with all these new covers I am totally thrown off and couldn't find the other book I was looking for..haha.

They were not directing their post to anyone, they simply stated that there were some that were not.

And by arc they mean the story line/plot the group of six books follow.
"omen of the stars"
"Power of three"
Etc.
The series is always broke into groupings of six books and each different group is called an arc.

Alderleaf ;; Leafpool is his aunt, and he is medicine cat.
Alderpelt ;; As winter said... Tawnypelt!

Sparkpaw
Sparkfrost ;; I know Hawkfrost isn't really honored... But why not? (#ILoveHawkfrost)
Sparktail ;; It sounds nice.
Sparkwing ;; Wing as in, she can hunt very well. I know, that occasionally the ERins use wing for that purpose.

I also have reason to believe that Leafpool is going to die soon. Anyone else feel my suspicions?
