Juymara Pride Adopts

Our History

We fought for our land. Some too hard,but all losing everything. After our numbers started crashing, we all ran to the valley, and hid like cowards. But... it was like we knew we were waiting for something. Something to save our home, some glimmer of hope somewhere from the dark. Then... He came. "Hahaha~ Hello there friend!" He didn't look like any of the lions we knew. But something told us we would never be the same after meeting him. He handed us a vial of his voodoo and told us "If you really wish to save your home, you all should partake in this, but I warn. Once you drink it, there is no going back. But there is only new beginning.~" Though his appearance was unsettling. What position could we really have to say no. We were hunted down to despicable numbers. So we took part in the ritual. When we came to in the morning. We felt stronger, more capable. And more alive. The Doctor's howling roar echoed over the valley. It felt as powerful as we felt and full of the same vigor. We roared and howled as well. We will keep fighting. And spreading this power for the good of our land. The Juymara Pride will grow and save our fellow beasts. And we will conquer the destroyers. Our planet depends on it.. On us.

Rules

This is a closed species you are not allowed to: recreate the species, make your own, sell the species, trade the species, or claim this as your own species.
If you own a Juymara Pride member, you can only trade them with other people who own one. And you must let us know when you plan to trade them so we can keep track in the archives.
You are not allowed to breed your own Juymara. You are not allowed to use the designs on other animals. Only use it on the Juymara you own.
You are not allowed to change the design. This includes: add things such as wings, extra horns, fur tuffs, or changing the colors, design of the fur, and ect.
Listen to the mods. If you are unsure about anything, ask on the page.
If you take your character off site you must link back here and credit me.
IF YOU BREAK THE RULES YOU WILL BE PUT ON PROBATION. IF YOU BREAK THEM TWICE YOU WILL BE BANNED AND YOUR JUYMARA TAKEN.

About the Juymara Females:
Females are part rattle snake, lion, horse, and wolf. They hunt in packs or use stealth and cunning when on their own. Though some are known to be more aggressive than males due to their defensive nature. They, like snakes, have double hinged jaws. When aggravated they will bring out their fangs to inject poison on their opponent. They are immune to poison themselves so they tend to not be afraid of other venomous beasts.

Why does she Wear the mask?:

Azami is a habitual liar, one can never discern what is truth and what is lies from what she says. The one glaring problem at times is when a big, white, smile appears on her face and she can't help to laugh. No one knows why she laughs (the leading idea is that she is either very embarrassed or really thinks it's funny) but she tries to hide the smile underneath or constantly smiling (...it's actually quite creepy during a card game....) The whole mask affection started when her parents tried to publicly humiliate her through a silly mask that she had to wear for a week for lying. Obviously, it didn't work. Instead of producing a negative effect, all the children thought she was really cool and the adults were none the wiser if she lied or not. Now that she is more grown up, the mask she once wore no longer fit and she created a more elegant version. This one may not cover Azami's face and her smile she enjoys the comforting feeling and show off her improved lying skills by only smiling during the truth in some conversations and grinning during the lies at others. The game is quite enjoyable for her but not so much for anyone else, unfortunately.

Congratulations cx I really like the idea of it being a trouble maker's mask. Seeing as how I based her on something like the sort design wise.

Why does she Wear the mask?:
She wears the mask because she believes that people do not wear masks to hide who they really are, but to show it instead. Her mask shows her balance with the vague symbol of Yin and Yang.

Why does she Wear the mask?: Flari wears her mask because she doesn't want to be recognized. Everyone in the pride has a huge crush on her and she hates it! Every male in the pride has asked her to be their mate at least once and she doesn't know how to say no. She hides herself because she has a twin sister who looks just like her and wears the same mask so males don't know who is who. And her sister has a hot temper when people mistake her so males better watch out and choose the right one!

Why does she Wear the mask?:

Beneath the mask bares a face battered by flames, scars nearly close the right as it fights to stay open. The marking from an apposing clan ingraved into her cheek as a reminder of her battle against their leader.

Why does she Wear the mask?:

A pride leader became interested in Shima, enthralled by her looks, the especially bright colors of her fur, and demanded that she became his. When she adamantly refused, he reacted in anger, and intentionally scarred her face. Her mask hides the scar on her cheek. She does not necessarily hide the scar because she is self conscious about it, in fact, she has come to believe that it makes her even more interesting. Shima wears the mask so that others do not see the scar and recognize her as the female that fled from that pride and the clutches of its leader. After she refused him, the leader became obsessed with finding her and making her his, both obsessed with wanting something he cannot have and furious that she refused him, insulting his pride and making it so that others question his authority. The last thing she wants is him or someone else tracking her down, even if it means hiding her face most of the time.

In more recent times, she has become somewhat well known for her mask, as after the incident in her past, she made the decision to become stronger. In doing so, she protects others similar to her past self, behaving as something of an honorable warrior. Her mask is how others now identify her, and some have even began to call her, "The Masked Hero." She now recognizes the mask as a part of who she is and does not desire to be without it for long.
