Dear Mouse,
Well, today is the day... I know it's Saturday, but everyone going to Barkley High Boarding School has to travel on a Saturday. It's so we have the Sunday to unpack, and for the new people to get to know everyone else in their classes. Then we start our lessons on the Monday, or at least all the people who attended last term do. The new people don't start for a few days because they get assessed on how they perform. How stupid.
Anyway, back to the main thing I was writing for. A found a familiar! I'd like you to meet Ghost! He's standing next to me in my picture and I updated last entry's one too. He's a little cat, though it's quite peculiar that he can talk... Oh well.
Anyway, I got to the train station and me and mother found the platform awaiting the train to Barkley High. I met Ricky (if you've forgotten who he is, there'll be an image below this paragraph YOU'RE A BOOK HOW CAN YOU FORGET THINGS!)there and then both of our mothers went back home. They get all soppy emotional about seeing us go because we're "growing up too quickly". Hah. As if. Anyway, Ricky was with some mates of his and so I got introduced to them as well.
Me: Hey Ricky!
Ricky: Oh! Hey Cream!
???: Wait? So that's this Cream dog you've been talking about?
???: Robin, are you thick? It obviously is if Rick's just said "Hey Cream" to her. *rolls eyes*
Robin: Well, soh-ree Zach, you know it all.
Ricky: Yes, it is Cream you stupid fur-balls. Now give it a rest.
Robin and Zach (in unison): Fine!
Ricky: If you didn't catch their names, Cream, this is Robin *points to brown dog with feathers embedded through his fur* and Zach *points to dog wearing green suit*
Me: Nice to meet you both. Why is everyone wearing different colours?
Ricky: Oh! That's just the schools way of making everyone feel more personal. They don't want us wearing our home clothes - last time they tried that Alexa turned up in a belly top and skimpy shorts. *shudder*
Me: Who's Alexa?
I didn't even need to ask that. A matter of seconds after saying her name, a dog wearing pink with manicured claws sashayed up to us.
???: Ooh! Who are you! I've never seen you around here before! Looks like the Jocks are doing their job properly again. *flutters eyelashes at Ricky, Zach and Robin*
Robin: *Grins* Sure have, M'Lady. *Swoons*
???: Anyway! I'm Alexandria but everyone calls me Alexa! I'm leader of the populars so I'm basically Queen Bee and the sorter! *whispers to herself* Please tell me she's popular worthy! We're running low right now! So, please, tell me your name and interests!
Me: I'm Cream and I like drawing, learning how to use this bad boy correctly *runs pale paw over scythe* and just generally hanging with my mates!
Alexa: Ooh! I would put you in the Jocks, but I can't because you're a girl. Anyway! You have a great fashion sense and an adorable familiar so please, come join me and the populars! We're the prettiest dogs in the school and we get first pick of the Jocks!
Me: Uh... Sure?
That went differently than I'd planned. But in a decent way... I suppose.
Alexa: Anyway, we get to pick our dorm mates! Me and you? Like, we could share claw-polish and you could show me some of your drawings and show me yours skills with that awesome scythe of yours!
Me: Uh... Sure.
Alexa: That's sorted then! See ya, gurl! *sashays away*
Ricky: Oh! You're a popular Cream! And it looks like you're Alexa's best friend now!
Me: Great...
Robin: *Still swooning over Alexa*
Zach: *Looks me in the eye, blushes and then runs away*
Yeah... We all got on the train and I ended up sharing a carriage with Alexa, Ricky, Robin and a whole ton of rowdy dogs. We all arrived and by the time the dorm-mate picking was finished, the girls and boys separated. We all went to the dorms with our dorm-mate and picked the beds. I went straight to sleep, Alexa was removing her lip gloss the last I knew. Ghost was asleep by my tail, which was quite sweet.
What an eventful day... I'll try to write again when I have the chance.
Signing off,
Cream.
Dear Mouse,
Well... Starting school was... Uh.... eventful to say the least. I didn't really get to see anyone "new" - I guess I was the only new person. Great. I started off by being collected from my dorm by this wisp like creature. I was led to a room that was pitch black, nothing visible apart from a small vent in the roof that light was leaking though and a small desk in the centre, below the vent, with various empty and full bottles on.
Speaker: Cream Cottonpaws. You have 24 hours to escape this room. Create potions as you see fit. Do not be afraid to get things wrong. Use your gut instincts.
This is bad. What happens if I didn't escape? How could I escape? No! Stop. Thinking. About. The. Worst. Situation. No more pessimism! This assessment determines your fate, Cream! Snap out of it! Right, now that's over, lets mix some potions. Well... This clear stuff smells like it would mix well with that blue liquid in that bottle. *Poof!* Hmm.. It looks like its glowing! I'll drink it - maybe it'll help me see or something. Well, here goes nothing...
...and I can see. There looks to be a cabinet in the corner. In the doorway is... A creature made of smoke? What?!
Dear Mouse,
Right, back to what happened in that room. Where did I get to.... *flicks to previous entry* Ah! That's it! Shadow wisp blob creature!
Right, it just so happened that I had my scythe in the room as well. So, gut instinct - grab the scythe, kill it, find the key and then leave. Sounds simple enough! Oh how I was wrong. Now's where it gets complicated. I picked up my scythe and swung it as hard as I could at the shadow...No... Wisp..? NO! smoke thing only to find that the scythe tore through it, splitting it into two of them. GREAT! THEY MULTIPLY.
Numerous potions later, I found the right combination to flick at them for the smoke to separate and disperse into nothingness. It was time to find that key. It was nowhere in sight. Long story short, the potion table had a hollow chair leg, and after a potion that allows you to see through things and a whole load of chipping wood off this table, I got the key out. My paws still hurt now.
Needless to say, I got out the room. Then the school speaker chimed. For the whole school to hear.
Speaker: Congratulations Cream Cottonpaws. You have been accepted into the academy. As of tomorrow, you shall be attending Top Set Lessons. Also, you have broke the school record of exiting The Assessment Room.
As I walked down the corridors, everyone seemed to now know who I was. I couldn't hear myself think over all the "Congratulations!" and "Yay! Your in my set!". Stupid animals.
Anyway, I'll write as soon as my paws stop aching, or at least, when I have free time after then. See ya mousie!
~Cream
