The silver-gray warrior sat by his lonesome at the end of camp. Having already eaten, he was patiently awaiting the morning hunting patrol, his favorite time of the day. His ear flicked as he heard the sounds of other cat's now waking up.

Softbelly nimbly navigated through the dense underbrush. He was aware that he was in clan territory, but the hunger in his stomach clouded his judgement. There has got to be something out here. he hissed in his mind. It had been almost three sunrises since his last mouse, and that territory was too far away now for him to revisit. His ear flicked as he heard something rustling in the bushes. He let his warrior training take over and scored himself a tiny scrap of prey. He ate it quickly, hoping he wouldn't be caught.

Maplebreeze walked stiffly out of the warriors' den. She shook out her ragged coat, enjoying the warm sunlight that caressed her fur. Padding over to the fresh-kill pile, the she-cat cast a lazy glance around the camp, noting that few cats were awake. She selected a vole and carried it to a particularly sunny spot. She lay down and began to tear into its decadent flesh.

Jaystar seeing that almost everyone was heading that direction, Jaystar padded towards the fresh-kill pile, and picked out a small blue jay. Jaystar admired the beautiful blue feathers for a moment, then began to carefully pluck the bluest ones off before igging into her meal.

Ravenwing groggily woke up, stretching as he stood. He glanced around the den. Most of the warriors were already awake. Ravenwing looked at his sleeping clanmates for a moment before heading into the sun. He blinked his eyes, readjusting to the bright light. He then padded over to the fresh-kill pile, and picked out a mouse. He glanced ahead to see his apprentice, Flamepaw. Ravenwing looked at her for a moment. "Get ready for training, Flamepaw. We'll be learning some new battle skills after we eat." Ravenwing told his apprentice before taking a bite out of his mouse.
