do you wanna become anything big? Like British nationals, European Championships or even the Olympics? I like discussing the future with others , it helps boots my confidence and determination! XD

@Nightsent: definitely, competitive racing is heaven.
Once you finish that race with a PB or first place, you feel amazing.
And obviously when you realise that all your trainer's nagging wasn't for nothing x3, anyone relate?

Wow, I love your go-getter spirit, NightProwler! Good question; I'd say my biggest athletic aspiration is to swim on my college's team! I will be a freshman this fall, and with some heart and determination I'd say the odds of me getting picked up as a walk-on aren't impossible. What encourages me the most to fulfill this ambition is the fact that I started sports/swimming so late (third year of high school) and I want to show myself I can achieve long-term at something I love even if I didn't originally "fit in" or even show potential. What about you?

Go for it, Nightsent! I almost didn't swim but I'm so glad I made it a priority in my life. What inspires you or excites you, go for it!

@sola: Well, I'm aiming to become the fastest IM swimmer (200m) in recorded history. I've been planning this for a while, so that I can get better at the strokes I'm not particularly good at and frankly, it's working! My butterfly gets better all the time because of this goal.
I'd say I also started late, you see... I joined this club about two years ago and stayed there for a year and a half. The club couldn't provide the hard training I've been needing to fulfil my dream, so I moved to another one a short nine months ago. I've been improving massively, and by that.. I mean improvements like 10-20 seconds off my PB. I was so proud!

@Nightsent: It won't really interfere unless you really interest in it.
You see, most trainers will offer training everyday, so you could just go perhaps one day a week if you're so busy?
Just a thought, but competitive racing is worth it in my opinion C:

What you currently do: Swiming every Saturday
What you have done: Swam 50 yards in 32.4 seconds, and swam at a swim team. <3
What you want to do: Swim on an average of 30 seconds (20 yards)
What got you into it: More flexible!
Advice you'd give to people interested in the same sport(s):
It's hard at first, it really is. But after practicing, it gets easier!! ^^

Favorite parts: the relaxing part, the theme and repetition.
Least favorite parts: when people brag after beating you, learning from many different coaches at once.

Welcome, Vixen! How was your latest swim? I'm off-season but hoping to get back into it this summer. <3 As much as I love it, the intense workout is such a struggle to fit into a busy schedule. (I'm transitioning from high school to college so yeah... XD)

I'm doing an 800 meter freestyle race this Saturday
I've not done much distance swims... But plenty short distance, obviously admitting the fact that I'm a short distance swimmer.
I'm kinda exited? But slightly nervous?
