Goldenstar nodded to the apprentices and their mentors, walking out to the training hollow. The light shined down and the smell of prey was very faint, considering they stay away from the area. She sat down in the middle and looked at the four apprentices. "Today will only be part of what determines your skill. I need you to do your best, but don't panic. Mistakes are mistakes. We are not expecting you to be a Starclan cat." She stared directly at Whisperingpaw, knowing how she blames everything on herself. "So, you are all going off to hunt in pairs, considering there are four of you. Whisperingpaw and Robinpaw will hunt together. Berrypaw and Applepaw will hunt. Good hunting to you all." She nodded to them, beckoning their mentors to follow her. She stood far enough from the apprentices for them not to hear. "Me and Iceclaw will follow Whisperingpaw. Wolfnight and Clearstone, you follow Berrypaw and Applepaw." She nodded to the two, waiting for the apprentices to get started.

Whisperingpaw looked to Berrypaw and Applepaw, smiling. "Good luck to you two!" She looked down to Robinpaw, her fur getting hot. "So, u-uh... W-where do you want to hunt?" She asked him, not wanting to be bossy.

She chuckled lightly. "Well, sometimes." Then, Featherpelt felt a grin curl onto her muzzle when Rivernose asked her question. "Well, Robinpaw, Berrypaw, Whisperingpaw, and Applepaw are all taking their Assessment. A hunting patrol left a bit ago..." The Medicine cat shrugged, then smiled. "Oh, Whisperingpaw and Robinpaw are so cute together!" She suddenly gushed.

Berrypaw nodded to Whisperingpaw. "You too! Don't get my brother hurt!" She flashed a playful glare, then turned to look at Applepaw, and smiled. "So, any idea where you want to hunt? If you don't have any, we could hunt by the berry bushes. There's bound to be some mice maybe."

"Well," Robinpaw hesitated slightly. "How about we hunt near the Big tree? I hunted there yesterday, there were tons of squirrels." His whiskers twitched, then his gaze became nervous as he stared at the forest floor. "I-if that's okay with you....." Robinpaw muttered, his pelt beginning to feel hot.

Sasha's tail droops as she's reminded that she no longer had a home. "Yeah... I'd hope not," she meows.

Rivernose let out a burst of laughter at the medicine cats joyful squeal, obviously excited by the prospect of two possible future lovers. "Featherpelt!" She exclaimed, nudging her long-time friend. "I had no clue you were even paying attention." With a sly expression, Rivernose looked around the camp to lean in slightly and whisper, "I thought I was the only one." She purred, then returned to her normal volume, "They hang around each other a lot, I'll give you that much. They're both so timid around each other."

She let out a purr. "I remember when Robinpaw and Berrypaw first into Featherclan. It was Berrypaw who did the protecting." Featherpelt sighed slightly. "It's good to see them coming along so well!" Then, the Medicine cat chuckled. "I'm wondering if Berrypaw will actually find a mate."



[ Well, other than Applepaw, Robinpaw, Whisperingpaw, and Berrypaw taking their assessment, I don't know. Galefurry met up with Sasha, that's it I think. ]

As Featherpelt continued to gush, Rivernose had lifted her petite paw to begin grooming at it, pausing for a moment or two as Featherpelt spilled out her worries about the young apprentice. Giving Featherpelt a peculiar look, Rivernose frowned, "Berrypaw? Why would you say that? She's a sweet kit, there's plenty of toms that would like her."

He nodded, "Thanks, you too!" He responded to the other apprentices, eyes widening at the thought of who he was with. Such a pretty looking she-cat... He thought, She has fur like mine too.. He was in a slight daze, and was a little startled when he heard her speak. "Uh, yes that sounds fine. The berry bush is good."

Featherpelt smiled. "I didn't mean it like that. Just, when I first met her she was so stubborn and protective, and hardly anyone would talk to her. She made herself distant, but look at her now." She smiled. "Berrypaw is a nice kit, but....she has much more to learn about life more than following the Warrior Code."

She smiled. "Okay, then let's go!" Berrypaw exclaimed lightly, excited about the thought of becoming a Warrior. The apprentice walked towards the forest, but as soon as she set foot on the soft ground; something changed. Her eyes narrowed in concentration, and her paw steps were light and hardly made a noise; but she managed to keep a small speed walk. Flicking her tail signaling Applepaw to follow, Berrypaw continued, keeping her jaws parted for prey.

"She has a lot to learn." Rivernose nodded in agreement, examining her freshly groomed paw for any spots she might've missed, "But she'll make a great warrior and queen some day. You know, I might've seen Applepaw looking at her when I was going out for a patrol a few days ago, but what do I know?" She chuckled, moving onto the other paw. "I'm sure all the apprentices are worried like crazy right now, I know I was.." Rivernose drifted off for a second as though remembering a not-very fond memory before shrugging it off, and resuming her daily grooming.

Featherpelt smiled. "Applepaw? Really?" She pondered lightly. "Well, he is a nice tom. Maybe they could become mates." She shrugged, and stretched out her fur, enjoying the sun hitting her long fur. "And I'm sure they'll all do fine!" Featherpelt reassured Rivernose.
