Scarred for Life (Open and Accepting)

Andy felt stupid. He shook his head. He lifted his hand to her face and lifted it up to look her in the eye. "Please tell me I'm not insane for trying to get you to talk?" He asked his eyes showing defeat. He held the gaze with her. -Am I THAT stupid? He questioned himself.

Chii's eyes grew wide, as if she were to fall unconcsious any second. Her mouth began to open, stuttering slightly. Chii was terrified, and her thoughts were screaming at her to say something. Anything.

Andrew's eyes fell with disappointment. He sighed and turned away. Feeling stupid. He was trying to force words out. He shook his head and looked to the girl. "Come with me?" He asked standing and offering a hand. -If I can get her to write something down.. Maybe, just maybe, she'll loosen up a talk a little.- He thought waiting on what she would do.

Chii blinked, her hand shaking slightly and holding onto his hand lightly. She stood up slowly, her eyes full of wary. Chii blinked, shuffling her feat slightly.

Andrew walked her through the door and out into the hall. "Are you good at writing?" He asked with a small smile spread across his face. -Well, she trusts me enough to let me walk her from a room, hopefully she'll open up soon.- He thought as he gripped her hand just slightly tighter.

Chii flinched, feeling his grip tighten. She nodded lightly, walking along side Andrew with a weak smile. She was glad that someone had approached and hadn't immediately left after saying 'hello' and no response. But at the same time frightened, afraid that he would leave if she didn't speak soon.

Andrew lead her back to his room and opened the door. He stepped over to let her in. Then he walked to his desk and pulled out a piece of paper and a pen. "Would you like to write down anything you have to say?" He asked holding the paper and pen forward. He smiled a small smile.

Chii stared at the supplies, trying to keep from her hands shaking. She truthfully couldn't remember the last time she wrote. Perhaps she would remember if she gave it a try? Chii took the paper and pen reluctantly, staring at the paper as she wondered what to write. To her, it seemed just like talking, but silently.
