Blizzardpaw had strayed off the border and was now in unfamiliar territory. He noticed a siamese trying to catch a squirrel and cocked his head: his scent wasn't anything known to the apprentice. He must be what Rainheart had told him about: a loner. He wasn't sure what to do, but he had to defend his clan if this cat was a threat. "Who are you?" he hissed, not prepared to fight. He had only learnt hunting techniques with Appleseed.

Dog, hearing Blizzardpaw, tensed and slowly turned around, eyes wide with fear, but when he saw that the cat speaking was younger than him, his fearful attitude turned aggressive. "Who are you?" he demanded, unsheathing his claws.

The apprentice watched Dog unsheathe his claws, fear clouding his eyes. He had learnt to pounce when he was 5 moons old, because he was so eager so a warrior in his former clan taught him - but that's all he knew. "I'm Blizzardpaw, six-moon-old apprentice of TempestClan!" the tom replied, pelt beginning to bristle nervously.

"Dog. My name is Dog," replied the Siamese tom. "Don't take that as friendliness or anything, I'm still going to shred you." he elaborated, then raised a paw to strike Blizzardpaw.

Blizzardpaw had no idea how to react. He just cowered. "Stop!" he said shakily with a desperate voice. The young apprentice stood there, eyes widened with fear, staring at Dog.

Dog looked a bit guilty, and he sheathed his claws. "How old did you say you were, six moons? That's still basically a kit. I was about to claw a kit." he mumbled.

Light stalked through the forest, her one good eye watching for prey. Her ears were pricked and her mouth opened wide. Light heard a rustling sound, and pounced towards it, missing the mouse by inches. She cursed loudly. She could barely hint as it is, and now that she was missing an eye it just made it worse. She padded sadly back to her den, and old fox den dug between tree roots.

Blizzardpaw was still trembling from the shock, and his gaze didn't dare travel into Dog's eyes. He looked at his shuffling paws, unable to move.

"I promise not to hurt you if you feed me," coaxed Dog, tail waving hopefully. "I might even go away, and maybe I'd never come back. No promises until you find me some food, though."

[I have a plan. Blizzardpaw is young so he only knows how to hunt small prey, so he could bring Dog a vole. Dog says it's not enough and attacks him, but then Light comes and helps him?]

Blizzardpaw glanced at the siamese and nodded rapidly. "O-Okay... Wait here. I'll go hunt something quickly." the apprentice shyly crawled away out of the loner's sight and spotted a vole munching on berries. While it was distracted, he dropped into a bad crouch and pounced. But it heard his vibrations and scuttled away, although it was trapped because a tree was blocking it's path. The white tom clawed it and swiftly killed the vole with a bite to the neck, and began to trace his steps back.
