Finnegan || Building Rooftop || Yersinia Pestis - Probably a Doctor

I looked at Yersinia, trying to look past that threatening gaze in his mask. I heard him giggle, then he tilted his head at me. He was like some little kid. A kid in a cloak of a threatening figure.
He held out the charcoal to me, as if I were to take it. "Keep it," I said, looking away. "We may need to commune some other time, and I don't exactly have some pen and paper right now." I tried to keep a conversation, but how can you have a decent conversation with a mute man?
I pulled out a dead rodent and a knife from my bag, and started skinning the creature. After a minute of silence, "Finnegan," I mumbled. "Its the only name I can remember, and its mine: Finn."

Night dipped her head at Evette and turned so her back was to the cave entrance and she could see Jay and Evette.

"Y'know... M-maybe it'd be better to just stay?" Jay said quietly.

Night lifted her head to lock eyes with Jay and wagged her tail to show her support before yawning.

He breathed a sigh of relief.
"Good... I wasn't having second thoughts until we stopped for a while. Tsk. Time is anxiety, as they always say," Jay said sarcastically and took a spot on the ground.

Night nodded and trotted over to Jay, stretching out beside him and resting her head on his chest

Jay stroked her fur, as always. It had become a kind of routine for him. And soon after, he fell into a light sleep.

Night rumbled happily and slipped into a deep sleep, her tail wagging just slightly as she feel asleep.

Jay for the first time in a long time, actually had a dream while he slept. It wasn't even a deep sleep...

Two figures walked down that oh-so familiar road that Jay had walked to get home for countless weeks, months. One of them he didn't recognize, but the other one... He recognized well. How could Jay ever forget that terrifying glowing-green gaze? That mask that doctors of death wore? And the hands, that upon contact, his insides had twisted and turned? The two figures stopped walking. They turned, and locked eyes with Jay, one had hostile, hazel eyes. And the other? Glowing green of course.
