He gave a kind smile while petting the dog softly, and enjected it with the medicine and let the IV bag drip slowly into his system
After a while, he removed the mask to let the animal wake up on its own time, and sat down in a nearby chair
Soon falling into a nap himself and rested his eyes

Finnegan || Outside The City || Yersinia Pestis - Probably a Doctor

I scoffed, upset at my attempt to converse with the man. "You're lucky you look threatening," I told him. "Must be easy for you to avoid all the monsters out here."
I took a glance at the ravaged city, then looked back at the man. "Well, if you don't mind, I'll be on my way. I need to survive," I said, turning away from him. "Feel free to join me if you want. Someone with your looks would make a brilliant ally," I said, fixing my hood.

(my character's not mad at anyone, he's just a major pr**k)

MASK
Eventually, Mask woke up. He felt a looot better! It was slow, and painful, but he managed to stand and survey his surroundings.
A small... hut? Mask guessed. It was filled with all sorts of sharp, thin objects and vials of who knows what.
He saw the man that had supposedly healed him across the room, sitting in a chair. The dog jumped down, then paused to let the sharp pain subside, and padded up to the man. He really didn't wanna wake him up, so Mask just put himself at the man's feet and laid back down, just looking out into space.

Yersinia Pestis
Not wanting to turn down an offer like this, he jumped forwards and bounced a little bit closer to him, to join along with him
Something in the back of his mind seemed to click.. And he remembered he could speak at one time
But couldn't remember what language..
He sort of dazed off and looked down again, the glass eyes on the beak mask glinted green in the light

Woken slightly by the sound of things moving, he blinked his eyes open and sat there regaining himself
He yawned only a bit, and rubbed his eyes while removing his glasses and looking out at the blurry world
Of course, without his glasses he couldn't see a thing
Barely anything
But he cleaned them off on his shirt and put them back on while surveying around and ended up looking down at the dog at his feet.
The sight surprised him enough to move his foot back a bit, but became a bit comfortable with it there
"Hallo meine Freunde.. Bist du gut?" He asked softly and leaned down to softly stroke him

Mask suddenly raised his head, The man was awake! Every moment the dog had spent near the man, he felt a lot better. He would stay with this guy for as long as possible.
He gave a happy little whine and leaned into the man's hand.

He chuckled a bit and smiled
"I see you are.." He nodded and scratched under his chin a bit
"Do you have an ID tag? Any name?" He wondered aloud while searching the dog a bit, eying his neck
"Doesn't look like it.."
And sighed, gently rubbing his ears while dazing off a bit
"Vonder vaht kind of person could leave such a nice dog out to fend for himself.." He muttered and looked down

Finnegan || Outside The City || Yersinia Pestis - Probably a Doctor

I rolled my eyes. Great, new friend, I thought to myself with seeping sarcasm.
"I don't really have a base or a home, so you better get used to moving around a lot," I said keeping my steely gaze on the wreckage around us. "I also don't go to the populated areas, so I suggest you go your own way if you're an extrovert."
I led him to the area I was staying in for a while. It was on the rooftop of a building, where you could almost touch the miserable, grey sky. I set down my things and lay down on the ripped up couch I "dragged" up here.
"So, what do you call yourself?" I ask the masked man, trying to start a fire to cook the things I had gathered in the forest.

MASK
He knew that word- name. It was a thing people gave each other. His name was Mask, that's what Jay had 'named' him, but he didn't know how to tell the Man that.... He hardly knew what a mask was! But he was sure that he didnt have one... In his own self doubt, he lowered his head and pawed at his face, juuuust to make sure... At times like this, he wish he knew the human-speak!
The frustrated dog decided to do what any thankful dog would do. Mask stood, and jumped onto the man's lap, and licked his face affectionately.

He squeaked and leaned back, laughing while trying to get the dog down
"N-Nein!!" He giggled and sputtered a bit
"Mmmn!" And tried pulling the dog off of him, so that he wouldn't be so affectionate

Yet he didn't know how to say it.. Properly
So he glanced around while standing there, and moved for the fire
He picked out a piece of Charcoal and made sure it was sturdy before he started to write on the ground, the roof of the building
Amazingly he remembered how to do that too
And wrote out
"Yersinia Pestis."
Before giving a small smile and looking up at him

MASK
Mask backed off and jumped down, walking with a new spring in his step.
He trotted in little circles, just getting the new hyper-ness out of himself.
This man reminded him of Jay! But this man sounded much different. Mask didn't mind at all, though!
The dog just hoped that the man wouldn't leave him, and he wouldn't leave the man.
