His eyes landed on something white and black racing through the brush, which made him cry out in terror and backed up into his hut
There was no doors on the barracks.. And he had nowhere to hide
But to make matters worse he tripped on his own labcoat, one such that would flutter down onto the ground same as the wings
And landed on the ground, staring at the beaste that neared him

Mask was up one second, down the next. Literally looking dead, his breathing was shallow, and he wasn't moving a muscle.

Finnegan || Outside The City || Yersinia Pestis - Probably a Doctor

As I headed back into the city, I felt it again: that aura of death.
I did a full 360 scan of the area when my eyes fell on a figure of a man that reeked of bad news. The most striking thing about him was his face; an eerie bird-looking masked covered it, making him even more threatening that he should.
I was weary, but I kept my blades down. "Can I help you?" I asked, trying to stand my ground.

He went still the instant he was seen, and stood still to watch the other
His bean was thinking for a moment, about how many more people he was going to meet
And if we was to meet them.. How could he converse when he didn't speak?
He opened his mouth as if to speak, but nothing came out and he looked down a bit, sadly and closed his mouth

His eyes fixed onto the being and realized in time that it was a dog
Of course he wasn't a Veterinarian, but he knew the ins and outs of animals
He moved to stand, coming over to the dog outside and laid a gentle hand on its side, feeling for any signs of a heartbeat

Mask gave a sad whine. He has just passed out for a second, he guessed. A man was leaning over him and touching his side.
Another living being... Mask thought. He welcomed the company.

Tame or not, he moved to gently pick up the animal to carry it inside after it had made some sort of sign it was alive still. "I'll try my best.. I don't have much to vork vis.." He muttered and gently laid Mask on a table, moving then to find some Anesthesia of sorts and mediciation.. Possibly some IV bags as well

The man had taken Mask into his home... He gave a soft yip.
Mask was ever grateful. Although he felt like he was gonna drop dead, anyone looking could swear the dog had a 'smile' on his tired, ragged-looking face.

I kept my guard up until I saw the man's gaze fall to the ground. I couldn't read emotions, but I could tell he was sad, distressed... troubled.
Before I was swallowed by pity and sympathy, I harshly clicked my tongue at him to get his attention. "Can you not speak?" I asked in my signature 'you-should-know-that-I'm-kinda-pissed' tone. "I can speak in hands," I said as I showed him my empty palms.

He looked up suddenly when he clicked, and took a few steps forward to exclude the gap
But he didn't understand, and shook his head
Shrugging softly while frowning
Did he do something wrong? The male sounded upset at him, as if he was mad he just happened to stumble upon him

He came back with a few medications, and stuck an IV bag on a pole while getting it ready, putting a mask over.. Mask's face to have him breathe in the gas
Hopefully to have him pass out and rest for now, while he flicked a few needles and got them ready when he needed them

What are those sharp, pointy things the man has? He's never seen them before-
The man placed a device over his face. When he breathed in, he could feel himself getting sleepier and sleepier... Until he finally slept.
