Fadedecho sighed in relief. He was relieved that Beetlenose could stay with him and the Clan, and everything could go back to normal. He closed his eyes and silently thanked StarClan, then blinked back open his deep blue eyes and looked toward her direction. "Thank StarClan, Beetlenose!" he exclaimed and a small smirk slowly spread on his face. "That sure is relieving..." he trailed off; wondering if Swiftstar would figure out the truth... that he was the father. He looked at Beetlenose, his ears flattened against his head. "You do know that from now on... we need to make it less obvious." he whispered; not wanting anyone to overhear their conversation.

The classic tabby's green eyes were wide with surprise as Spottedpaw sprang forward to catch the vole. His ears swiveled to the side, and an awkward glint of embarrassment gleamed in his eyes. He hadn't even realized that the vole was there, but Spottedpaw managed to catch it. ''I'm pretty sure that my hunting skills have just reached a whole new level of shame. That was a good catch, Spottedpaw. I can't believe that I didn't notice it.'' After he approached her, the tom flicked her shoulder with his tail in an acknowledgement of her achievement. He saw Dewpaw, and he silently noted the squirrel that hung from her jaws. ''Have you had enough quiet time, Dewpaw? Where's Foxpaw,'' the tom paused as he tried to decide whether or not he should compliment her catch. Cedarpaw decided against it, and he fluffed out his striped pelt.

Her eyes had instinctively focused in Cedarpaw first, and her ears flicked. Then she noticed another cat beside him; a she-cat as a matter of fact. What is he doing with her? Why is he with her? Her ears fell back, and she stopped in her tracks, staring at the tom. "Have you gotten so bored that you need another cat to annoy?" She retaliated, avoiding his first question. "How am I supposed to know where e is, I'm not his mother." She huffed, her voice muffled slightly by the squirrel.

Greypaw looked over at Lilypaw and nodded. "Sure!" he replied cheerfully and stood to his paws before exiting the apprentice den. He stepped into the camp clearing and headed over to the nursery in excitement.

After the shocking news Beetlenose announced, Cloverwing was exhausted. She padded over to the warriors den and fell right into her nest. She quickly started to fall into a deep sleep.

He could tell that he'd managed to irritate Dewpaw, but he wasn't quite sure about what he'd done this time. "I don't know, I just figured that you'd know where Foxpaw is.You two have been friends for a long time," Cedarpaw said in a mocking voice. "And, no, I figured that Spottedpaw could come hunting with us. I'm not annoying her! What's it to you? You're the only she-cat other than Flarepaw who has managed to find me annoying," the tom mewed in frustration, hurt that she'd snapped at him. His green eyes gleamed with alarm as he took a step back. He figured that she would have cooled down by now.
