http://www.animalgenetics.us/Equine/CCalculator1.asp Fantastic way to predict the colors of foals when you know the colors of the parents, with some wiggle depending on whether or not you know what recessive genes are hiding out.

I have used these three resources with great frequency, they're really helpful.

Thanks to Kwenda's post I was reminded that I should add "Helpful Links"! So now you can find links I find are helpful when learning about equine genetics on the first post.

I've used all of these resources myself and they're great. Especially the Jennifer Hoffman one has taught me a lot about horse genetics, however I've chosen not to add it to "Helpful Links" simply because there's quite a few things that are not completely accurate with that tool and that may be confusing, and I'd like to keep the resources on this thread as reliable as possible.

Yep, Mouse Dun is another name for Grulla/Grullo.

When researching it seems that Olive Dun/Grullo/Grulla usually refers to either smoky grullo or seal brown with the dun gene (Wolf Dun). I'd probably say it's Wolf Dun, although I'm not sure - I believe it's one of those names that don't really mean a specific coat but more explain the shade of the grullo.
