just my two cents, don't bite me.
I love the idea of the revamp. Bring it back to life, clean it up and start fresh. I don't even mind if my 2 are considered a "mix breed" or not BKs until registered. In real life if you have an unregistered horse or dog it would be undesirable in breeding. You would have to pay real money to register your dog, horse, whatever. Maybe it would be even better if the genes were cleaned up. I see BKs as a very realistic breed this is what drew me to them. So doing things realistically makes me much happier over all. Not saying because I dislike my BKs this is untrue, I love both of mine, but like I said realisticly dogs would be registered, and neither of mine were paid for so they would have to be registered, plus no one should expect art for free. It's difficult and time consuming, owning an adopt is no walk in the park. And it is being offered that they will be transferred once paid for so thats more time and labor.
My only concern is if we want our dogs registered, how long would it take to have them transferred. Realisticly registration of an animal can take a few weeks to a month, it's alot of paperwork and a full labeling of the animal in multiple areas, and with the Arabain Association (both of my real life horses are registered with them so this is were I'm pulling my understanding) their names have to be cross referenced, no 2 animals can have the same name, and deaths must be registered so the name can be eventually released. I believe the JC (Thoroughbreds) does the same. I like this realism in an adopt, and by doing it, it makes it feel very professional. I'm only worried about the time involved and the price. I do have a breeding set up, but I would be willing to pay for both dogs to be registered to make it happen.
So I say Deer, you should do what you want, it's your adopt. More so, since Neara did the lines, I expect you paid for the lines (this is just my thought it doesn't matter one way or another) but Neara's work isn't cheap on DA so that just means even more if you paid for it, take it in the direction you want. Free art is a rare gift, so free adopts should be thought of the same way. No one should gripe about having to pay for art.
