Dorak woke up comfortably. He felt warm, a temperature he hadn't felt since was kidnapped. As he blinked himself into focus, he was shocked. He was in a desert. Maybe the past few months had only been a bad dream. Those thoughts were quickly squashed on. As he looked down at his feet, he could still they were were kangaroo feet, and he still had spurs. So he was just moved, but was it possible that the scientists had brought him back home? No, Dorak didn't think they'd do that. They had already invested too much in him. He'd show them though. He was better suited to this environment than the forest. He was part kangaroo after all. Plus, he knew all about desert survival from his six month solo experience in the outback. First thing was first, water. Where there were plants, there had to be water. So he started hopping, looking for an area with lots of plants.

Kyra woke up groggy. She didn't quite remember what had happened. One moment she was fighting off angry classmates, the next she was here. Where was here? It was hot, that was for sure. It appeared to be some sort of desert. Sitting up slowly, she tried to figure out exactly how she got here. She didn't live anywhere near a desert. She tried to go over her memories just before she blacked out. Her classmates were coming after her. They had seen her quills that she normally kept hidden. They thought she was a freak. Then she was fighting, defending herself, but there were people there. People she didn't recognize. They shot her with something. Those people must have brought her here, but why?
Confused, she slowly got up and looked around. There didn't seem to be anyone nearby, or around at all. Did they just dump her out here to die? She had to find someone. If she didn't get moving to at least find some shade or water, she'd surely just roast to death. If she was in a desert, perhaps there were cacti. Those plants held water. And she could build a small shelter with the plants around her, or even dig a burrow-like shelter if she found harder sand. Now she only had to find a good location, so she set off searching. If she was lucky, maybe she'd find someone who could help her get home. "Hello? Is anyone there?"

Justin hated having nothing to do. That's why he was in the gym, working out. Being physically strong was important to him, and it didn't hurt when he went out into the dome to collect the dome hybrids. His work out regiment was a bit different though, to accommodate his newer mutations. After the normal stuff, he'd focus on his tail, either lifting weights with it or doing pull ups with it. Next was his wings, which were a bit harder in a confined space, but he had learned to attach weights to his ankles and then try to lift off the ground by wing power alone. There was a limit, of course, as to how much he could actually carry, but even training at the max weight helped build up those muscles. After the work out, Justin really just wanted to do something interesting instead of just waiting around. Maybe he could go out into the dome for a bit. The domies in there should be awake by now, and it didn't seem like the group one hybrid had been brought back yet, so there was no reason he couldn't go out. He made his way to where the the entrance to the dome was, grinning a full smile to show off his sharp teeth as he passed by the guards. Stepping out into the dome, he hadn't quite realized just how hot it was. Justin knew they were in the desert, but the heat just smacked into him. After standing in one place for a moment, he decided to get a bird's eye view of the place, and he thought it might be a little cooler up higher. Spreading his large wings, he hoisted himself into the sky and started searching for any of the hybrids.

Dr. David Sutton /\ Male /\ 35 years old /\ Scientist /\ Open
The trip from the old dome had been pretty uneventful. All of the hybrids had been sedated and kept asleep for the whole trip, even the domestics. The only challenging part was moving all of the equipment, making sure they didn't forget anything important. Now Dr. Sutton was going over his personal equipment. He was mainly in charge of the shock anklets and now that he was one of the few who was also a medical doctor, he was going over the supplies in the medical ward too. Everything seemed to be in order, which meant that they were ready for the first group of hybrids, or hybrid. According to his resources, there was only one hybrid in group one so far, and some domestics had already been sent to bring him in. Now they just needed to wait.
