snowstorm laid on a ledge on the side of jade mountain, rolling a stone between her right talons. she began to toss it from hand to hand, staring wistfully out into the kingdom of sand. freedom. it was so close! close enough to grasp in her palm. but, of course, the guardians demanded they stay in jade mountain. 'just a few more months! then you'll be ready.' they kept insisting. we're ready now! she thought angrily, tossing the stone down the cliff side. she sighed dejectedly, slumping down onto the cold stone. the light of two moons shone brightly down in her face, lighting up the desert and casting shadows. snowstorm had made plenty of plans to escape the mountain, of course none had worked. she ran a talon along the rock, still slumped over the edge with her forearms hanging down. she blinked, just thinking of it. the guardians were asleep, and they were supposed to be too. it was the perfect time to escape! snowstorm lifted herself to her feet, running into the small chamber where the dragonets slept in the cave. she jumped, pouncing on them. "WAKE UP, GUUYYSS!!"

Pharaoh- Pharaoh yawned, sitting up. "Ahh... What now, Snowstorm?" he mumbled, rubbing his eyes. Pharaoh curled his barbed tail to his side, yawning for the second time.

Rift was, of course, sleeping in the glittering pool in the nextdoor cave. The moon glittered serenely through the skylight above. He heard a muffled shout from the next cave and started, stirring up bubbles and snapping his jaws angrily. I was having a great dream about getting free! he protested internally, clutching the sandy bottom of the pool. He swam up and got out, shaking his wings and watching the droplets fly everywhere. "...Who shouted?" he mumbled as he climbed into the other dragons' sleeping cave, annoyed.

Flicker was on night guard duty. She fluttered her wings with a restricted air, making sure that her partners didn't notice she had slackened her harsh pose. She gave the fellow guard next to her a toothy smile. "Boring night, eh?" she chatted.

she jumped up and down on pharaoh's back. "i have the best iddeeaaa!" she hopped off in the half-ran, half-jumped into rift's pool, splashing up water. "WAKE UP, LAZYBUTT!" snowstorm crawled out of the pool and sat down, curling her tail around her forearms. she was sure they were up by now. hopefully the guardians weren't. she clawed the tough stone. "alright, listen up, guys! i have a plan, and im sure you all will agree with me on this."

Pharaoh- Pharaoh ran his talons along his diamondback patterns, wincing from Snowstorm jumping up and down on his spine. "Spit it out then!" Pharaoh fumed, clawing the rock.

Rift shuffled irately, waiting for the IceWing's response. "Yes, please tell us," he muttered. "I was having a wonderful dream which you interrupted." He shifted his tail.

snowstorm splashed her talons around in the water, causing it to ripple and sparkle in the moonlight. "i have a plan to escape." she said calmly, but her voice was laced with excitement. "now is the perfect time to do it. we escape while the guardians are asleep, then travel to the sand kingdom and to either the scorpion den or possibility. they'll never know we left! well, they'll know in the morning, but that's not for a while."

Pharaoh- Pharaoh snorted. "How are we supposed to do that?" he asked. "Don't get me wrong, I love the idea, but I'm just saying. There are so many variables and factors and things that could go wrong and..." Pharaoh launched into 'nerd mode'.
