Pikeflower stood back and and quickly shook out his pelt. Eventually, after a while of silence, he meowed, "I guess. I never said I wasn't scared you know. Just not scared of your confession." It was the idea of falling in love and having it be torn away from him again that scared him, not the actual confession of hers. That had merely surprised him.
