*Mistyclaw looked at him in the eyes, then gave a huff and layed down*

Sparrow heard the mew of a young cat and decided too follow it, finding the source. She started silent, yet inclined her head to show that she was listening.

"Cat!" Tinypaw called again. "Please, I want help!" Tinypaw made herself as small as possible to show she was no threat.

Sparrow had on an expression of remorse on her face and nodded. She didn't want to hurt any cat, and she also didn't want to reveal her past to such a young kit.

"What do you want from me Mistyclaw?" Pikeflower turned towards her to snap. "You run off for no reason before I can say anything and then get mad at me when I tell you that I like you back? What am I supposed to say here?" The tabby tom's tail began to lash with frustration as he spoke.

Tinypaw sighed softly. "I would like to be wild with you. I have done something awful. Thornclan don't want me anymore." Once she'd said it, she felt like she'd been scratched across her mouth. The reality of what she felt was her fault weighed down on her. She looked at the ground, feeling like Stonestar was next to her, telling her she wasn't wanted.

"I'm just scared! Okay? Is that a good enough answer for you?"

*She yelled at Pikeflower*

"I'm scared of getting hurt! I'm scared of you dying, like my old mate did! You may think you know how that feels, but you don't! I know your mate died giving birth to your kits, but you didn't watch her die! I know you didn't! I saw my mate being flung around by a fox! You don't know pain like I do!"

*Her eyes clouded with tears, her tail twitching*

"You know I didn't? You know I didn't see her die?" Pikeflower repeated her words in a hiss, "Oh I'm sorry I didn't realize you were there so excuse me if I am surprised to hear that I wasn't there for her dying breath. That she didn't make me promise that I would protect our kits with my life. Excuse me if I am just a little bit confused here." He was not trying to make his situation sound worse than her's, he knew that the way his mate had died must not have been as traumatic as the way her's had, but he would not stand for her talking as if he had no reason to be afraid of love himself.

Sparrow paused, and then smiled comfortingly and licked the top of her head, was if to say that she was welcome to the wild with open paws.

"You don't know what it feels like, to stand there, helpless, while your mate bleeds out, hanging from a thorn bush! You don't know what it feels like to see half your clanmates die, along with people being blinded and getting their legs chewed off! I watched my family die before my eyes..."

*Mistyclaw turned around, feeling weak and numb*

"Just stop talking to me, if you're trying to make me feel worse. I do like you, a lot... but... I just can't... I don't want to see you getting hurt."

*Mistyclaw lay down, her shoulders shaking each breath she took in, tears falling down her face. A strangled noise come from her each time she breathed out*
