Evette slipped backwards, leading her to drop onto her butt. She was vulnerable now.
"Look, I mean no trouble. I'm Evette."
She held out a hand, but then dropped it.

Night held her hand out, "I'm Night. I don't mean trouble either, I'm honestly just trying to find other shapeshifters and humanoids and show them a safer and easier way to live farther away from hunters. We can finish this conversation back at the cave. I already scared the boy half to death don't want him to think I'm leaving him there."

Evette grabs Night's hand and walks back with her to the cave.
"Huh, that's pretty neat. I'm not a shapeshifter, but I guess you can call me a humanoid? Apparently I have heightened senses. That's what my parents told me, anyway."

When Night returned with Ramen girl at her side, Jay stood. He was a lot less nervous around people he didn't exactly like.
"We haven't properly met. My name is Jay Ellis," He held out a hand to the girl at Night's side.

Evette shook Jay's hand with a firm grip.
"The name's Evette," she said, the corners of her mouth tilting up. She hoped she didn't spook him, as she can tell by the pacing he was anxious.

Night smiled and nodded at Jay, "I'm Night, sorry I didn't introduce myself sooner. Anyway, I'm sure your wondering why I had you ride me up here."

"...I prefer Ramen Girl, but whatever you like..." He murmured and stepped back.
"And it's fine!" He smiled at Night.
"And yes... I kind of am."

"Since the world turned to whatever this is, I've made it my mission to try to search out other shapeshifters and humanoids. I want to show them a safer way to live away from hunters and humans. As you can see I can offer you protection and no hunter is going to be able to get to you here." Night sat on the floor, "I can hunt and often make fires to cook what I catch. Even with just ears and a tail your a prime target for hunters and you," she turned to Evette, "are at risk just because of your senses. They may try to force you to work with them to hunt down our kind."

Evette scoffed.
"I've been avoiding the hunters for years. They don't know who I am, they just know I exist ever since my parents... left, they had documents of my "powers", but they never knew that it could be handed to them."
Evette looked at Jay. "So you're a tiger?"

"Don't be so sure on what they do and don't know. The humans will use anything for they're own gain." Night sighed and absentmindedly changed into her wolf form. She rested her head next to Jay.
