Jay woke up, and went though his normal routine of getting ready. He worked a boring 9-5 at the convenience store that he had gone to the night before. He worked the day-shift. Even though it was not very dangerous, he was still veeeery wary of going to work. His boss had commanded that he not wear a mask or coat of any sort while working. So there he was now, standing behind a shabby checkout counter and broken-down cash register, just waiting for a criminal to come in and stab him with a screwdriver.

Night walked into the store and gave a friendly smile and slight twitch of her ears to the man at the register. She grabbed some water and snack food before going up to the counter. She smiled once again "Hey!"

Jay was kind of taken aback at the girls friendliness.
"H-hi!" He replied, forcing a smile back. He didn't not like her, but he was nervous around all people.
"I haven't seen you around here before..." He noted, while checking out her items.

Evette woke up from her nap and looked around. Currently, she was inside of a 6 by 10 bush by the feel of it. She got up begrudgingly before someone could find her and walked to the nearest convenience store to buy some ramen for lunch. Walking in, she found a boy stuttering at a girl.
"Pathetic," she scoffed, and went to an aisle to look for ramen.

"W-welcome!" Jay said to the new customer entering, just barely glancing up from the girl he was talking to before.

Night's eyes flashed as she turned to the girl, "That was rude and unneeded," she stated before turning back to Jay, "I live in a cave up the mountain, I only really come down to satisfy my sweet tooth. It's a lot more secure then trying to live in the cities." She smiled at Jay again.

Jay kind of winced when the dark-haired girl had told off the new customer.
"Heh.. You're telling me. My motivation for getting home at night is 'don't get stabbed, get home.' I would actually rather live in a cave, but I couldn't survive if I did. Is this all?" He asked, indicating the food and water.

Evette ignored them as she went for the ramen area. She only found the savory flavor, without any spice. To Evette, it was bland.
"Meh," she said, shrugging. She went to the counter and waited in line behind the peppy, cheery girl. Evette rolled her eyes. She hated waiting in lines, especially with people who loved to share their uneeded, personal stories.

"Yeah that's it, and I know it's tough living in the city but seeing as your a shapeshifter of some sort I'm sure you could adjust to living in the wild. I just learned to use my wolf to hunt and protect myself, I've helped a few shapeshifters live more lives by training them to live in the wild. I'll be in town for another day or two, its something to think about." Night smiled and slid the money across the counter to pay.
(Night's only being nice for Jay's benefit. She's usually fairly aggressive.)

(Note- Jay is currently a tiger-human with ears, a tail, heightened smell and hearing, and sort of sharper teeth :3)
"...How did you know I'm a shapeshifter? I've never met you before... And I haven't changed this form for days..." He said kind of hesitantly, as he took the money and put it in the register.
