Jay stepped into the store and bought some water and food from the clerk who he knew rather well. He bid her goodbye, and hurried out. It was nearly dark. Dang. I do this to myself... Jay though bitterly. He decided to take a more well-lit route back, the longer way, though. He followed it for a while, passing a very tall and oddly-placed tree. And it was alive, which made it even stranger.
Get home, don't get stabbed... was his encouragement for the walk home.

(i forgot to mention that my character is currently in the form of a guy haha)
I eventually sit up and move down a few branches so that I may survey the road below me. I notice someone walking down the path, but I don't act on this fact; I simply watch as they pass by, leaning forward on the branch.

As soon as Jay got home, he slammed the door and locked it tight. He didn't own much, but enough to not be totally miserable. He quickly ate and drank. He had had a mini heart attack on the way back. When he heard the sound of a branch shifting, he nearly jumped out of his skin! For any passerby, it must have been a very amusing sight... He always stayed up late, even if it was just to look out of the dirty window. And that is what he did, he saw long shadows and a city that would never be restored to it's former glory.

Night finished her run down the mountain and saw the lights of a large city. She changed into her human form and entered the city, hoping to find an open grocery store. She passed and tree and looked up when she smelt something alive.

I look away from the path as soon as another person lays their eyes on me, swinging my legs lightly.

Night noticed the shapeshifter in the tree and forced herself to smile at him before continuing her journey into the store.

I sigh, leaning back a bit. Maybe I should just stay higher up...

Age: about 16, 17. she doesn't know her actual age.
Eyes: olive green, wide.
Hair: light blonde, but often brown because of dirt.
Height: 5'8
Other features: Evette is blind, but thanks to her acute senses she lives as if she wasn't. She normally wears sunglasses because of this.
Personality: She is a super serious person, after losing her parents to a mysterious, supernatural force. Her sense of humor is rather dark, but you can only access it if she is a close friend. she is willing to fight, as she is very strong.
Fears: dying, only to never see her parents again. sharp objects, which doesn't make sense as she carries a pocket knife.
Likes: plants, the sun, clean air, an abandoned building where she takes shelter in.
Dislikes: pollution, heat, destruction, death.
Species: uhhhh idk what to call her... i guess she's a superhuman? but not like the heroes. kinda like scarlett johanssen but her senses are built in?
Description of Species: She has strength 50x the normal human. She can hear from a mile away, and she can easily identify materials by feeling and/or smelling them.
