They would be little white puppies. The United States could be drawn on the blanket surrounded by another solid color of choice.
In their puppy stage, They would have the color of the blanket on them, and their selected state on their fur somewhere.
As adults, They would have gained a land feature on it's fur from that state, and they would still have the state.
Rhode Island would probably be a pps, but it would gain the land feature like the others.
Or maybe countries?

Germany, France, Ireland {Which could be PPS because it's an island?}, America, Antarctica or Arctic, Scotland and Japan?
