Smokycloud let out a mrow of amusement before turning to find the two apprentices in question. He tasted the air to locate them, and found their scent leading him over to the apprentice's den. "Morning, ladies." he greeted Snowpaw and Spottedpaw. He gave them a respectful nod before continuing. "Sparrowclaw and I were planning on taking you two out to hunt."

The light-golden tom decided he'd go check out what all was happening outside and perhaps catch some food. His steps faltered a bit as Autumnpaw went bounding past him - great Starclan, she was beautiful - but he continued on out the entrance of the camp and climbed up one of the nearby trees to head to the left.

He came to a halt just outside the den and turned to face the other apprentice. "I haven't seen one before, but Gatorfoot's story about them is awesome! Have you heard it?" he replied, the topic obviously interesting him. Alligators had always fascinated him, but he never actually wanted to encounter them.

Sparrowclaw's great, too! And he's really helping me get used to clan life; I think I've finally memorized the Warrior Code, thanks to him!" she agreed, thankful that they both had amazing mentors. "And speaking of..." the spotted she-cat murmured as Smokycloud approached them.

Sparrowclaw chowed down on the rest of his breakfast and disposed of the bones and ratty feathers he didn't want to keep. He nodded respectfully to Thornclaw as he padded past and headed to where Smokycloud and the apprentices were.

Snowpaw - Female - 9 moons - Tag: the S patrol - apprentice's den

Snowpaw followed Spottedpaw's line of vision as the warrior approached them. "Oh, hunting sounds great!" She got to her paws, tail quivering in excitement as she nodded to her mentor. A chuckle from behind Smokycloud caught her attention. "That excited huh?" Sparrowclaw asked as he walked up. Snowpaw grinned sheepishly, ears flattening with embarrassment that her uncle pointed her out.

Bearkit - Male - 3 moons - Tag: Mouseleaf, Fawnpaw - nursery

Bearkit watched as the two medicine cats entered the nursery. "Was I ever that small?" He spoke suddenly, voicing aloud his train of thought to the newcomers.

"Great, let's get going, then. And you'll do great as usual, Snowpaw" he meowed, glad the two she-cats were so excited to go out hunting. They clan needed the extra prey from the harsh leaf-bare, but it wasn't like they were desperate. "Yeah, alright!" the younger apprentice exclaimed, nodding vigorously. The two apprentices seemed to be very enthusiastic about hunting, which forced a smile onto Smokycloud's feline lips.

She glanced at her newly-appointed mentor and immediately tried to straighten her posture to look more mature, but instead achieved in making herself look rather silly. Her chest was puffed out in an over-exaggerated fashion, and her front paws were placed so closed to each other her left paw was practically on her right.

When Sandbranch was in the branches, he was infinitely more comfortable in his hunting skills. He calmly padded down the branch he was currently on, using his claws for extra stability, and hopped over to another. He was searching for this once really tall tree he had found as an apprentice; it was a great place to see the entire marsh, and he found that there was almost always at least a single piece of prey there. He headed out east, following the landmarks he had memorized to take him there.

"Eh... sure. Is she even in here?" he wondered aloud as he poked his head inside the den, trying to spot the black she-cat. After all, cats of that color were notorious for being hard to spot in the dark.

The feline finally arrived at the tall tree; when he was even a few fox-lengths away he could smell some prey. He quickly located a thrush and dropped down into his hunter's crouch, advancing on the unsuspecting bird.
