does anyone else take a slight liking to negan? argrggh, i love the way he is 'charismatic'. he even named his bat.. jeeeeee!

and i am sad to say this, but i believe glenn was on the receiving end of lucille. though a lot of things don't follow the comics, im nearly convinced it was him, daryl, maybe abraham.

also.. does anyone else think that rick may go along with negan, 'working for him' for a little bit and then setting up a raid? idk, i feel like that once rick and the other group members (but one </3 rip) will devise a plan and completely annihilate negan and his group. it might just be me, but i honestly think rick wont stick with that settlement. i mean, come on. they earn the supplies they get.
so yeah. i think, really, rick will get the hilltoppers, his people, etc and go all out war on negan. besides, since when have numbers mattered before? (negan's crew took them off guard, which was unfair for rick and his group) examples; terminus- they completely destroyed that entire community, and what about woodbury? all those past groups were beat under rick's commands and people.

i really think numbers don't matter once rick and his group can get ready to fight and just stay behind something as cover during an entire fight.
that's what i think, so yea.

oh spoilers

well, i absolutely loved the way this season finale was set up. they built up so much suspense throightout this whole episode and urrgh i just loved it.

as far as tonight's (or last night, whatever) death goes, well, you can actually figure out who it is. there are hella hints loaded in that very last scene and i love it. i also love the fact that they end the season off with the camera pov looking up at negan and bleeding. on talking dead (i watch that show religiously lmao) it was said that the point of view and cliff hanger was that way because it isn't just the character who dies, but the viewer as well. we all know a beloved mc is dead and got beaten to death. but, it's not generally the fact that we don't know who is it, but the fact that we feel so impacted by it. i dunno about y'all, but i watch twd with the lights off so my eyes only focus on the screen. when each blow came down, it was a hit to me. not a character. i felt like i was part of that line-up and i was being murdered (not like twd hasn't murdered me before but).

honestly though, i'm so in love with this episode it's bad. it shows me why i've stuck with this series for so long cx

okay so i'm more than a little disappointed that we ended up not finding out who got 'lucilled' since the buildup was so phenomenal. i've seen a few people that found negan's speech boring but i had chills the entire time (huge props to jdm for his portrayal of the character though). plus i'm not sure how they think they're going to keep who died a secret considering the season 7 trailer would have to be restricted to negan, carl, rick, carol and morgan and there's the issue of bts pictures of the filming progress which we normally see but whatever.

i personally think it was either abraham or eugene that was on the receiving end of the bat but i could be wrong. i'm actually fairly confident that it isn't daryl because he just got shot in the shoulder last episode so it just wouldn't feel right to kill him off right after that and also because during the point of view shots whoever was getting hit was certainly making an effort to get back up and as negan said they were "taking it like a champ." when you consider the state that daryl was in throughout that whole scene, weak and trembling, it wouldn't have taken much to knock him down. the same could be said for maggie i suppose but again, i could be wrong.

apart from all that i thought the episode was pretty good. carl got some screen time finally and the acting from everyone was amazing as always. super mad at how norman was treated on the talking dead afterwards though - like, seriously?

annnyywayy that's my two cents. it's going to be a long wait 'til october so i guess we'll just see how it goes.

Since it is way passed midnight here where I live, my post will not be hidden. So please be warned that if you aren't caught up by now or haven't had time to watch the finale, spoilers will be here <3



I have to agree with all of y'all. I think the finale was great, although I found some bits to be a but meh from time to time, I didn't think it was overall "the worst finale ever" like some people have said.

I am super proud of jdm, I know that he's going to make an amazing Negan and I can't wait to see more of him when October rolls around.

As for who I think got "Lucilled"? Personally I don't know.
I know very well that it is not Carl and Rick due to Negan mentioning the two of them just before whacking the camera/character, so that leaves them out. And I believe Negan also gestures to his right, which would be the camera's pov left, so I'm sure a majority on the left side are okay, but really I'm not sure.
Regardless, my top three would have to be Daryl, Glenn, and Abraham.

My reasoning for each:

Glenn - Glenn's death in the comics is a huge thing, so I feel like while people may still be expecting him to get offed by Negan, they may still do it and are just wanting to get people talking to get more people hooked onto the show, as well as give themselves more money to continue. I would not be surprised if it is Glenn, would I be sad? Of course. Glenn is that one character who even still makes me laugh and smile because of his character arc from season one to now.

Daryl - I hate having Daryl as one of my top three, but honestly he has to be up there. While he is extremely unlikely in my opinion, I feel like killing off Daryl would be the biggest curve ball in any tv series. Nobody is expecting Daryl to die, purely because he is the most beloved character on the show, and he is basically what their merch is based around, I mean I just got a set of Daryl bracelets today from Hot Topic. I feel like killing Daryl would not be a smart move at all personally, in fact completely idiotic since like previously stated by one of you, why have Dwight shoot Daryl, only to have Negan come right around in the next episode and off him? My other reasoning behind Daryl though can be stated with one word: Dwight. Dwight is a character that is EXTREMELY similar to Daryl. He rides a motorcycle, he uses a crossbow, the only difference is he's more of a jerk [not the word I'd like to use but] then Daryl. If they wanted to follow Dwight's story from the comics, they could easily do it, but the only way they'd be able to is if they offed Daryl sadly.

Abraham - While he is not really classified as a major character, he is still a valid member of the group and beloved by quite a few fans. With Denise getting his death from the comics, I would not be surprised if they chose to have him be Lucilled, purely because of that. Not to mention lately, everything had seemed very happy for Abraham. He's been accepted by Sasha and has talked about having a life with her like Glenn and Maggie, he's forgiven Eugene, and Eugene has forgiven him, not to mention for awhile he was very much down in the dumps and seemingly ready to die. While his death would not make millions of people scream and cry, I think killing Abraham would have some sort of affect on the viewers, and it would be another curve ball since all of us are thinking it will be a major character from the original group that Rick led, before they met all of these people.
